Fujinoma Machiya — Hotel in Kyoto

This Machiya (まちや town house) is really pretty! It looks very nice and has a nice bathroom on the second floor and first floor.

The bedroom on the upper floor has bedside table which has sockets on the table where you can plug in the universal adapter to charge your devices conveniently. The beds are huge and comfy too. The bed is clean too. The only thing was that the side table beside the bed was quite dusty.

They provide room slippers too. They also have heated flooring on the first floor. It helps a lot with not feeling cold walking around.

When we came here, they also provided tea, coffees, bottled water, toothbrush toothpaste and towels for everyone.

It has a beautiful little garden deco at the interior where you can take nice photos at. Overall it's a comfy and nice machiya.

Only thing was the distance from the train station...

Our family of 4 had a beautiful stay here. It’s located on a side alley just off the main street with a large grocery store nearby. It’s only a short walk from the subway station. Most of all, we like the exquisite interior layout & decoration. Everything is functional & clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, so are the 2 bathrooms. Each room has its own A/C, and the downstairs floors are heated. There are 3 bathrooms, and there are washer/dryer. One bedroom has beds the other tatamis. Fujinoma was listed after I had stayed at Choya Gosho Minami in the summer of 2017. I fell in love with the pictures and longed to return to Kyoto just to stay here. We got back from our trip last week. Machiya Residence Inn staff is so helpful and the property was exactly like the photos. I thoroughly enjoyed drinking my coffee and gazing out to the veranda and garden. We loved having the option of cooking after a long day of sightseeing.
