Hotel Crush on — Hotel in Kyoto

We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is definitely a plus — very central and convenient. However, the room was quite disappointing. As soon as we entered, there was a strong smell of feet, and unfortunately, it stayed that way throughout our stay. Just to be clear — the smell was there from the beginning, so it definitely wasn’t caused by us.

The windows only opened a few centimeters, so there was no real way to get fresh air in. On top of that, the carpet had visible stains, which made the room feel unclean and poorly maintained.

Communication with the staff was also a bit difficult, as they spoke very limited English.

Overall, not the best experience. The hotel has potential thanks to its location, but the rooms really need more care...

We arrived to this hotel earlier today and it’s been great. When we arrived, the front desk staff was very helpful and kind. When we got to the room, it was very clean with towels and robes folded on the bed, and the bathroom is beautiful! Took a shower immediately and the shower was squeaky clean offering POLA products (shampoo, conditioner, etc) There’s also a mini fridge for the things we had to store cold and a good sized TV! Would 100%...

We loved our stay at Hotel Crush On. It is new, modern, quiet and feels like a boutique hotel. Service and amenities were great. The beds were comfortable. It was in the old part of the city which was charming. The shower had a low ceiling which was not a problem for us....
