As a Kyoto local, this bar is a treasure which has become one of my go-to spots over the month. Don’t be fooled by its location inside a hotel—it’s far from your typical hotel bar. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an ambiance that’s both cozy and refined, setting the stage for an memorable evening. The bartender here is a true professional, with an exceptional depth of knowledge about cocktails. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something a bit more adventurous, he has the skill to craft drinks that are not only perfectly balanced but also beautifully presented. His expertise extends also beyond the menu, so don’t hesitate to ask for something custom-made—you won’t be disappointed. One of the things that really sets this bar apart is the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with the bartender. He’s fluent in French, Japanese, and English, which makes the experience accessible and enjoyable for a wide range of customers. He’s not just a master of mixology but also a witty, well-cultured individual with a wealth of interesting stories and insights. Every visit here feels like catching up with an old friend. Overall, this is a fantastic spot to enjoy an authentic cocktail experience at a reasonable price. The personal interactions with the bartender add a unique touch that elevates the entire experience, making every visit truly special and every penny well...

Saw these guys on Instagram, the bar is located inside a hotel called KABIN. I was going to get the cocktail that they showed on IG @kabin_irl but it was more of a beer night so I want to try it later.
Heard they are a cafe by day so I’ll have to visit...
Read moreSuper chill bar which is located in a 3-star hotel. Although we didn’t stay at the hotel, we were dropping by for a quick drink and found ourselves at a very modern and chic bar served by a long-time Kyoto resident expat called Pierre who had been their for 9 years.
We ordered 4 drinks, the check-in, the check out, the take-off, and do not disturb.
Highly recommend do not disturb and the take-off.
Pierre was super engaging and gave us a short and welcoming intro to Kyoto and loved his small chit chat.
Would come...
