I recently stayed at the Rinn Station Hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The air conditioning in my room was terrible - it would turn off after just 3 minutes of use and then come back on again after 10 minutes, leaving me and my travel companion sweating all night long. We called the reception at 5 AM on our third night there, but they were unable to do anything to improve the situation. The staff simply repeated "maybe it is what it is" several times, leaving us feeling helpless.
On top of that, the hotel doesn't have curtains, so the sun was up and shining before we could even catch a wink. And to make matters worse, the walls are paper-thin, so we could hear sounds from neighboring rooms throughout our entire stay.
To add insult to injury, we were only provided with one uncomfortable pillow each, and when we asked for extra pillows, we were told that all of them were borrowed and unavailable. And while we stayed for five nights, we were only informed upon arrival that the room cleaning service would be provided once, on the third day of our stay. This was not mentioned on the booking website, and I have never before encountered a hotel that does not provide daily cleaning and required an additional fee for cleaning.
Overall, my experience at the Rinn Station Hotel was a nightmare. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and am extremely disappointed with the level of service and amenities provided.
Despite the issues we faced during our stay, I do want to note that the staff at Rinn Station Hotel were incredibly kind and tried their best to help with the situation. They were attentive to our needs and offered solutions whenever possible. While my experience with the hotel itself was disappointing, the staff made a positive impact and were a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating stay.
PS: we were supposed to stay for 5 nights but we moved out...
Read moreThe room is very new and feels good. There is a buffet at the front desk on the first floor, which is full of Sekkisei and also has cute Japanese headbands, which is very good. However, the hotel will not take the initiative to collect garbage. Guests need to request it. When I went out the next day, I had to communicate with the front desk who did not speak Chinese for a long time. I wanted to collect garbage and the front desk thought I had to clean the room and charged me. In the end I was in a hurry and gave up communicating. When I returned to the hotel, I met the front desk who spoke Chinese and finally successfully collected the trash. The bathroom is really small and it's hard to turn around. This layout is different from what I've stayed in other places in Japan. The entire guest room is the same size. The bedroom area of this hotel is slightly larger and the bathroom is extremely small. I stayed in Tokyo and Osaka. The hotel is also of the same square meter, but the bathroom is a bit larger. To be honest, the bathroom area is 1 square meter larger and feels like a big difference, while the bedroom area is 1 square meter smaller and the difference is not big.But other places are pretty good, clean, and unpacking the two suitcases in the bedroom went smoothly, and...
Read moreVery cost-effective! !The location is very good, 10 minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station. There are many restaurants around, and I ate at a barbecue restaurant, which was very good! ! The ramen at the door is not bad, I saw people queuing up to eat.The advantage is that the location is good. There are many self-service items on the first floor, including toiletries.Although the room is small, it is new and large boxes can be spread out. However,The only and biggest drawback is that there are no curtains! The Japanese-style sliding door in the room is light-transmissive. It is brighter at night and even brighter during the day. Be careful if you don’t sleep well! ! It doesn't matter if your sleep is not affected. There are two machines in the washing machine room, which are very dry, but they are very busy at night. If you go after 11 o'clock in the evening, you have to wait for more than an hour, and there are still people using them at 6 o'clock in the morning...Because it is cheap, there is no cleaning service. If the trash can is full, you can tell the front desk and the trash can can be...
