Rinn Machiya Kuon — Hotel in Kyoto

It was a mixed experience.

The rooms had all amenities inside a traditional kyon. The house was planned well with the exception of a the stairway. The rooms were upstairs but the bathroom was downstairs. Taking the luggage through the narrow stairway was a struggle. There was a small garden but it was mostly unusable since there wasn't place to sit and was mostly stony. One major struggle was all equipment had only japanese instructions. There was a handbook provided but the instructions in English were limited and we had to mostly guess to operate the equipment.

While the traditional experience was great and all, the rooms had a strange smell that you get in extremely old wooden houses. They did say that the rooms were recently renovated but it didn't feel that way. It felt like there was constant dust in the air while we were...

Dejligt at komme tilbage til den røde lejlighed på Kuon Hotel Kyoto. Det var ligeså godt som ved sidste besøg i 2023. Dejlig indretning, og ligger i gå afstand til stationen og de fleste seværdigheder. Fantastisk sted. Hvis jeg kommer til Kyoto igen, skal jeg bo i den røde lejlighed på Kuon...
