SMART PLACE INN Kyoto Shijo Omiya Station — Hotel in Kyoto

Very nicely run business hotel, excluding the cleaning policy (the complete lack of it). Not sure if it's reasonable to simply not offer any cleaning when there's no discount for consecutive stays. Also they separately charge city tax and at least the agoda listing isn't too clear about that. All of that is excusable because the prices are reasonable. this hotel pleasantly surprised me. low price and high quality. our room was clean, no mold in the bathroom (which is very important for me). someone wrote that the bed was hard, but I found it comfortable. for such a low price you get unlimited access to hygiene items. there were disposable slippers and bathrobes in the room! the staff was also nice. I recommend 🤍

Its located really close to Omiya Station which is also just a stop away from Kyoto Kumarawachi station so it's convenient. We were pleasantly surprised that the budget room we booked are complete in amenities such as a hot tub. Room has TV, fridge, slippers, even a shoehorn and cute japanese styled buttoned bath robe.
