One night here was enough, I won't be coming back. It's close to Dotonbori which is the only thing it's got going for it. The rooms are tiny and there is no common space, when you lay out the futon there is room for a couple bags and that's it. You will be walking on your bed to enter and exit. The hostel is in the same building as a performance bar so there will be loud singing at 1 AM on a Wednesday and there is no air conditioning to speak of so sleep is probably not happening anyway. The walls are paper thin, literally since your door has paper windows and comprises the wall that most noise comes from. If the hall light turns on, there's no clear way to turn it off so that shines right through. There is no staff on site which means it's all automated and no accommodations. No bag storage for early arrivals, there are only 2 washers for probably about 20 people and they take about 3-4 hours, not kidding. It's not a great place to sleep, or spend any time, mostly just dump your stuff. Being homest, coin lockers are cheaper and more secure to be honest. Pair this with the fact that it's super hard to find if you're not an japanese speaker. The front entry on Google maps is not ko-fu it's the sorry next to the building that leads to a bar. Ko-fu has it's own elevator separate from the buildings so if you go into the building you might get lost.
TLDR: if you don't really need all the bells and whistles like sleep, comfort, a place to sit, and just wanna throw too much money at a place, go nuts I guess. $70+ a night for a box to sleep in is a bit...

Most policies are like "We ask you to pay xxxx JPY if you do this or that". No idea who is managing this hostel. Company? Individual owner? Who is responsible for this hostel? THEIR PHONE NUMBER ON THE...
Read moreIn comparison with other hostels you get a lot more privacy here. Everyone has a room just big enough for a bed, a small table and your luggage. The walls are thin so you can sometimes hear your neighbors moving around but in my experience everyone was silent and this was no issue. The airco made a little bit of noise but it was not too bad. The hostel was clean....
