The place is nice and the waiters are friendly. Although they couldn’t speak English, they tried their best to be accommodating. I really appreciate that.
They have menu in a few languages, including English. However, it could have been better if they wrote what’s in the set menu. There was no explanation and not even pictures. How do I know what I will get if I order the set menu? And they couldn’t explain it due to language barrier.
I was and am still disappointed with the food I had. The egg looks beautiful but kinda tasteless. The most spicy chicken they said, was not spicy at all. It’s sweet. And the other chicken I ordered lack of seasoning. I believe you guys can do more than this. Please improve your seasoning.
The biggest turn off, I think that they kinda “buy” good reviews. They will give you either Korean Ice Cream or drink if you leave good reviews on Google Review or post about them on your Instagram. I tried to post on my story coz I always share the food I eat but they didn’t accept story. It must be a post! Byeee
Now, I wonder if the good reviews on Google coming from the free drink/ice cream strategy they have. Coz really they need to improve the taste of their food to deserve the high star reviews on Google.
Danmi, I just want to let you know that I spent 2 hours from where I live to try your chicken. Can you imagine how excited I was? I even arrived earlier and wait downstairs until you open. I really hope you can improve...
Read moreChicken itself is about par, korean standards. I had alot of korean chicken in my life, in korea, in the usa, and around the world. This was average. The sauce average, battering & fried technique, below average. I tasted little flour? Maybe the batter wasnt mixed properly? Not sure what it was.
Atmosphere is where this place shines. Honestly, it might be the prettiest chicken place i been to in my life. The place is clean. Perfect lighting for pictures. Little details are impressive. I would bring a friend just to show the atmosphere but not for the food itself.
Service is where it was below par.
I walked in and waited about 3 mins in that little lobby, and nobody greeted me to come in. The cook i think even saw me and didnt say anything. I left the restaurant and googled other places to go but honestly just didnt feel like it walking to another place.
So i just rewalked back, walked all the way up to the tables, and asked to be seated.
Opened the Qr menu, and there is absolutely no description of the drinks and no idea what im ordering in the beer section. I can translate on my android, but nothing to translate when there is no description. No english menu.
Nobody checked if we were doing ok.
After a few beers watch your step on that lobby, its a step down and they seriously need a sign there before someone trips and...
Read moreThe restaurant is nice and cute, and has that Kpop vibe. But despite this cute atmosphere, the food quality wasn’t neglected. Our food was fresh and delicious. The chicken was tasty and fresh and the pork was also tasty.
Our waitress was super friendly and sweet. She helped us with the menu and even cooked our pork and vegetables on the grill, and got us a free ice cream 😀 She was lovely and made it a nice evening for us.
The only problem was that booking the restaurant can be a little difficult on Tabelog for foreigners because it doesn’t have any English. When you book Love Chicken, you have to choose the set menu in advance. To be honest I just clicked the first button and hoped for the best, which turned out to be a set menu with pork and chicken. It was great but still, it may be an issue for others. I’d recommend coming here without a reservation and just choosing what you want to eat in English.
Yes, definitely recommend and will certainly return when I am in the mood for...
