No||||Looks fancy at the entrance but comparatively to other similar priced hotels in the area, offers poor quality amenities and room. ||It’s very vibrant in the middle of Namba area and close to the main namba station (direct line to airport). But that’s about it||We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds (not the smallest), but room is still tiny, the toilet is the type you step up into a small box. No bathtub. Free tea and coffee are of the cheapest brand and with paper cups (other hotels give itoen matcha/hojicha - similar priced a few streets away) - there’s random hairs around the room. Read moreA posh looking hotel with clean room. Most if not everything, in the hotel room looks so clean and new. Bathroom feel new, clean and bright (unlike the other hotel that I stayed, looks old, abit dirty and with dim yellowish lighting).
The down side is, it is freaking small! The room is so small! (refer to my picture. I am taking the picture about 1m away from the door). Bathroom is small as well, but sufficient for a single person. The bed is small too. There is no space for u to fully open up yr luggage, thus they provide you a luggage stand in the room.
There is a big flat screen tv mounted to the wall, by the foot of the bed. The tv have limited channels tho, but if you pay extra, you can watch more stuff (including "adults" channel).
The staff (most) are professional in the work and they (most) try to help you on what you need. But most of them don't know or have very low understanding of English. Which is a real pain in the butt.
I was asking the front desk staff to book a spa for me, as the website of that spa was only in Japanese. But due to their poor proficiency in English, it took 20-40 minutes of communication just for that! (but he tried his...
Read moreI recently stayed at APA Hotel Namba-Eki Higashi and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Namba Station and very close to Dotonbori, making it super convenient for sightseeing and food hunting. There’s also a Lawson convenience store right opposite the hotel, which was really handy for grabbing snacks, drinks, or anything needed during the stay.
The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, but the room itself is a bit compact. With larger luggage, I had to struggle a bit while packing and unpacking. That said, it’s quite typical for business hotels in Japan, and everything inside is thoughtfully arranged to maximize the space.
The staff were polite and helpful, and I liked that the hotel provides fresh towels and yukata daily. Just note that room cleaning isn’t done every day unless you request it, which you can manage easily from the in-room TV.
I’ve also added some photos for better understanding (please ignore the mess 🥹). Overall, it’s a good value stay with an excellent location, clean facilities, and nice staff — a great base for...
