This place was highly recommended by a Japanese friend. The food was great and the waitress was lovely. What left a bad taste was an oyster that we had ordered. We ordered 2 large oysters and were informed ‘one was enough’. The oyster we were served with was rather shrivelled and shrunken, combined with the taste suggested it was past its prime. As we left the e premises we noticed a couple of local diners were served with a much larger, more plum oyster. In hindsight, it makes sense why they told us that ‘one was enough’ as they were intended on serving us the stale one and if we had been served 2, we would have been able to get a side by side comparison. They could have informed us that they were out of stock rather than being passive in allowing the incident to transpire. After all, these chefs seemed very professional with years of experience- surely they could tell when produces...
Read moreThis sushi restaurant is mainly for local, and the staff are not friendly if you speak English.
The food was not good, I don’t see why many people praised the food quality (maybe their taste problem?)
Good: the eel sushi is okay, they have the butter eel special fusion.
Bad: The salmon, tuna, and every other “fresh” fish, they are all not fresh. And “MUSHY” as the other commenter said. 😕 The miso soup was the WORST in Japan, I never tried such tasteless miso “water”!
Environment: Everything seems dirty and the environment is hot: you don’t expect a good sushi restaurant to have “HOT” interior temperature😅
Mostly only Japanese local would come. As their English menu isn’t the whole menu they have in Japanese.
All in all, I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Only good thing is you don’t have to queue——and...
Read morewe were really excited to try this sushi joint based on all the great reviews. unfortunately the experience fell short in many ways. to be honest, other than the unagi with butter - which is a great concept, and the dish was delicious to which they deserve full credit - the other menu items were subpar. look at the awful amount of rice in the sushi roll. and we got quite a strange cut of “fatty tuna” as you can see from the picture. the grilled yellowtail tasted a little strange too, it was the tiniest slice of cooked fish i had ever been served and there was not much flavour.
i felt like i was in a sushi restaurant in a western country… you could get better sushi from frankly any grocery/ convenience store, and i would take conveyor belt sushi over this :/
hope the team can do better, thank you for the decent...
