We came to know about this tsukemen restaurant online, many people that have been to Osaka claim that this ramen 🍜 place is the best one you can get in the city. That was enough to intrigue us, so here we are! 🙌🏼
The restaurant seemed to have constantly long lines and for a good reason! The waiters were great: friendly and efficient! It took them only about 7 minutes to serve our food considering the place was crowded! The restroom was clean (as expected from a Japanese restaurant). The restaurant is small and cozy!
The food:
Wheat Espresso (10/10): Wow! The long line doesn't lie! This Tsukemen is indeed the best one we've tried up to the day of writing this review 👍🏼! The noodles texture was mildly chewy and I think it hits the sweet spot 🎯! I also feel that the broth was neither too salty nor too oily. You could also request your broths to be reheated in case they get cold! The egg 🥚 was also tasty and I liked how the egg yolk was a little bit runny! The portion was also very filling!
Overall, I really enjoyed the tsukemen in Kaettekita Miyatamenji! I would DEFINITELY recommend this place if you are craving for tsukemen!
P.S., Unlike the majority of ramen places in Japan, this restaurant do accept credit cards 💳, REJOICE and happy...
Read moreI had never tried tsukemen before. My friend chose this restaurant and we went for a late lunch. Despite the time (around 14h) there was still a queue so we had to wait for about 30min before we could get in. The staff who welcomed us was kind and patient while he explained the 3 different types of noodles that are offered. We had to order and pay upfront, which isn’t an issue if you know the restaurant and the menu well, but I like to be able to ask for extra dishes sometimes and it’s unpractical there. It wasn’t a big issue though.
The portions were good and they had cards in different languages to explain how best to eat the tsukemen and the dipping sauce /soup. I really enjoyed this meal and I definitely want to go again and try the other types of noodles. I don’t usually enjoy tomatoes in my sauces / soups but it wasn’t overwhelming here and I really liked this dish. I enjoyed it most with the spring onions and the egg in the sauce. The prices were correct. It wasn’t cheap but I wouldn’t say it was...
Read moreWe arrived at this restaurant actually thinking we were going to hanahana next door, but that was closed, this place had a line so we joined. This is a fresh dipping noodle restaurant. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. You go in and order from a vending machine, the place is completely in Japanese so we muddled our way through. There are two noodle options and then some topping options, we both added an egg. The large and regular noodle sizes were both 1000 yen and the egg 200yen. We guessed our order with the help of pictures. We then walked upstairs to be sat at a table and the food came out quick. The noodles were super fresh and chewy, they come out cold. You then dip the cold noodles in hot soup. I don't eat meat but am happy with bone broth (it's Japan and it is hard to go without) the soup was tasty but very meaty and salty. My husband loved it but I found it too much especially with bits of ground pork. Once you've finished your noodles you can thin down the...
