Café Lafresa — Restaurant in Tokyo

Adorable café, easy to spot because the entirety of the building is covered in Ivy. It feels like time itself stands still here as the place feels extremely rustic, and its great!

Oddly enough when I walked in I thought they had some kind of sauna effect going on, it was hot! My glasses fogged up immediately. It's no downside but just unexpected.

I had the royal milk tea, the sandwich set b, and blueberry jam toast.

The tea was slightly sweet and very smooth, I loved it. I absolutely love jam and this blueberry one did not dissapoint. The sandwich set comes with four sandwiches and was decent, but nothing special. Not that it is expected for it to be special as it is just some sandwiches, but nonetheless.

Definitely keep in mind this is a smoking place, but otherwise I'd definitely come back here! The menu is cheap and the tea is tasty and the food is good....

AMAZING! The staff are lovely and were very accommodating to us. The breakfast is cheap, fast and tasty. It includes coffee, your choice of toast and topping, small salad and fresh fruit.

The coffee I had here was the best I've had in Japan.

This isn't a flash establishment by any means, but my God I enjoyed it. My girlfriend not so much, so take this review with a grain of salt.

Sweet and welcoming café that does a great value set breakfast for ¥550 with as many Japanese magazines as you care to browse. We came here every day of our stay in the area as the kids loved the thickly sliced buttered toast and the random selection of fruit that would come every day. Just be aware that smoking is allowed but ventilation is pretty good, the smokers are pretty considerate and it all adds to the 1970s...
