Udon Shimbori — Local services in Tokyo

Opened in 2020, this place has 28 sits inside and it can get crazy crowded - and trust me for a good reason. The udon is good as it comes, made in the shop is fresh and just right to ear up ❤️ the menu is full of both hot and cold options. The tempura (we had tenkake and kinoko tenkake) is very nice and when served with hot soup - served on separate plate. You may wait a bit even after being sitted. Last but not least - portions are huge 😳 you will not get out hungry and prolly you cam forget about...

時代の移り変わりというものは思っているよりも早い。一年という歳月があれば、色んなものが変わっていく。びっくりするぐらいに早く。

一年前までまさかこんなにコロナが長引くとは思わなかったし、オリンピックなんてやると思ってなかったし、クラブハウスなんて流行ると思っていなかった。

私は占いを信じない。 もちろん娯楽としての占いは私も大好きでよく好きな人との相性みたいな占いで一喜一憂したこともある。

何事も信じ過ぎは良くないということである。 未来は誰にもわからないのである。予想したりこれまでのデータを分析しておおよその見通しを立てることはできるかもしれない。

ただこんな未来を誰が想像していたのだろうか。結局のところは未来のことはわからない。明日食べるご飯のメニューする予想するのは難しい。

何が言いたいかっていうと、私はうどん屋さんにこんなにカップルと女性が沢山いるなんて知らなかったのだ。

カウンター席、テーブル席その8割ほどがカップル。女性客。

カウンターの端に追いやられるように4人ほどのおっさんが肩を窄めてうどんを啜っていた。 その中の一人が私。

うどんを待っている間、まさかこんなにうどん屋さんが女性たちの憩いの場になっているなんて知らなかったことを後悔した。

うどんデートなんてこともあるのかも知れない。そんなどうでも良い未来の妄想をしながら私は静かに調理風景を眺めていた。
