Nice Inn — Hotel in George Town

This is a Homestay owned by the In-Touch Travels and Tours company downstairs and company staff also manage the Inn, but there is no 24 hour front desk. Any problem or request has to be communicated to the owner or manager via phone or WhatsApp. After office hours and on weekends, no staff will be around. The door was locked and required access card to scan open. Housekeeping is not done daily though. I stayed for a week in September 2020 and I was the only guest throughout my stay, and the towels were changed twice. I like the clean bathroom with strong water pressure and warm shower. The towels were clean and thick but the blanket was thin, I had to ask for another one. The best thing about the Inn is the rooftop garden with both open space and roofed lounge area with a fan, tables and chairs. There is a water dispenser on the first floor corridor way with hot water which was good as the room had no kettle or even a mug provided. The TV was placed too high one has to strain the neck to watch it. The bedside yellow lamp was nice and the aircon was quiet. Bathroom door was of translucent glass and provided some dim light at night. As the bin wasn't emptied the whole week, the worst part was it attracted an uninvited guest during my stay. I noticed a little mouse on two occasions, it was apparently living under my bed. No wonder I was hearing some scratching noise at times. Sorry to say the mouse spoiled my happy stay and I decided to check out a day early. Otherwise it would have been quite a nice stay...

We checked in the hotel for 2 nights. Though room size is small but it is clean and comfortable. I have to say the it is hard to find small Inn offer such a good quality bed. We had a good night sleep after a long day activities. ||||There is a roof top terrace that offering good city view and cosy to sit down at the evening or early morning to enjoy the breeze.||||The Inn is location at Lorong Selamat where there are few famous hawkers food like char koay teow, laksa, ice kacang & etc just few doors away. Further walking you can find more eatery at Macalister road or Burma road. It is conveniently located at the city center.||||Mr. Cheah, the person in charge is a very friendly man. He gave advice to us where to eat and what are the interesting places to visit. ||||For the room rates we paid, we find it is worth the value and will definitely come back to stay here again when...

Good: location was pretty good. It’s quite cheap but for similar pricing, there are other more decent Airbnb.

Bad: very noisy (there is a ktv pub beside it. If you enjoy listening to free out-of-tune songs all night, this place will be the best choice) dirty (floor was dirty. On the second day, it’s worse. There was a centipede and luckily managed to kill it. A few minutes later, a cockroach came crawling in. Managed to kill it and requested to change room. Changed a room from second to third floor. Worse. The corridor had a few cockroaches, one of which almost crawled into the room again. Killed almost 4-5 cockroaches before deciding to change accommodation). So if you wish to have similar interesting experience of staying in a forest, this would be a highly recommended...
