Mii smile Hotel Penang — Hotel in George Town

The location is the only saving grace this place has. We going to stay 3 nights, but left after 2, and I will explain why.

First the cleanliness, highly debatable whether you can call it clean or not. It really depends on how lucky you get and how close you look, cups have dirt stains inside, and toilet smells funny.

The parking is godawful, you need to double park and so if you get unlucky your car can get trapped, they can however sort it out by finding whoevers car it is

Half the things it says on booking. com are either overlapping or aren't there. It says it has a hand rail in the toilet to help people get up but it doesn't?

The first night we were there, ac didn't work, it just wasn't cold, it kept blowing warm air despite being set to 16 degrees and cold. Second morning wasted around 20mins convincing staff that it was broken. First reception people came in and stood there for 10 minutes pressing buttons on the remote and telling us that it had been cleaned the day before. Cleaning a broken ac won't fix it? Then thr manager came in and first said the remote was broken, but it clearly wasn't as the a responded to setting changes? He then told us that it was because it had been set to heating, but it was the receptionist that did that. After 10 minutes he finally conceded and gave us a new room.

TL;DR: Somewhat clean rooms, no windows in room, dodgy furniture, no parking, manager that acts like they always understand the situation...

The location was easy to find, check-in process was smooth, and everything was fine. The cleanliness of the room okay but we feel that the receptionist is not friendly (she talked to another receptionist boy with bad attitude), parking is not convenient as we need to give our car key to them as some of the car was double park and they needs our key to move our car if others need to go out. Asked if there is any other place to park without giving them our car key but the lady is rude and said giving the car key is the only way. We also requested the slipper as we saw other customer was provided during the check in process, however she still replied in rude manners saying she need to check first if got then only gv us, but we ady saw the slippers. Just to mention there is only 1 receptionist being rude, while others is quite friendly and nice. Overall, room was okay, location...

The location is good with a total of eight parking spaces, but must leave the car key at the front desk if double parked. We booked family room. The room has a musty smell, no coffee/tea provided, no shower cap or slippers, no window, and only a small mirror in the bathroom. Aircond is good, 22°c very cold. No night light, night time have to ON the room light coz only 1 switch for both lights.

We requested add ppl to the room; charges listed on the front desk, but staff insisted company policy wasn't allowed. Staff couldn't explain what's the charges for. We ended up booking two rooms.

Paid deposit of RM20 for two room cards, upon checkout, they only refunded RM10, when I reminded her there were two cards, she reluctantly returned RM10 to me with a rude face without feeling sorry at all. Makes me feel like I'm beggy...
