I had my stay in Link hotel for 2 nights (with parents and a sister). The hotel surrounded with food courts and convenient shops. So, looking for delicious local foods was easy as it located within walking distance. Furthermore, there were some chinese pastry shop that sold good confectionery located nearby to the hotel. (P. S. look for Tambun biscuits, the taste was TASTY) ||The distance between hotel and temples, beaches, and muzeums was reasonable, ranging from 10 min to 30 min (by car). But, the time can be vary due to traffic jam especially during public holiday seasons. ||The staffs were friendly and one of the staff made me unforgivable. She was polite and she greet everytime i back and forth from hotel. She also very talkative when she shared some travel tips when asked. Too bad i didn't ask for her name. 😭😭😂.||The room was clean and water dispenser was provided at the corridor of hotel. Looking for refreshing hot shower after tiring trip? Afraid Not! The shower set was provided in the toilet and it was spacious too. ||Be aware that the parking space in Link Hotel was limited as only 2 parking slot avaiable. The wall inside the room was being scratched but it seen not be a big issue for me.||Overall, I'm satisfy with my stay and I high recommend Link hotel for travellers who look for hotel in...
Read moreThis is a small hotel in city center. You book the room just for sleep, and prepare to get some noise as the guests bang the door most of the time. Inside the room is just a bed, a table without chair. No kettle, just a water jug and two cups. Not able to cook water as every floor has water dispenser. No breakfast and even you have to buy your tea or coffee outside. The bathroom gets wet all times including the toilet seat gets wet every time you shower. The room is not really cleaned as I find previous guests tissue inside the table drawer which was disgusting. Get two bug bites during the last night. Location is quite center and just in front the hotel near corner there is food court. If you are using Rapid Penang bus from airport, then take number 102 which will pass Macalister road, ask the driver to stop at Sin Chew Daily bus stop and walk cross the road to reach Rangoon road. If you are going back to airport use the same number bus but you need to wait in front of Nasi Kandar Pelita (2 minutes walk from hotel). Public buses in Penang is reliable to use but make sure you have exact money as no changes will be returned. Komtar is just ten minutes walk and you can take any bus from hotel to Komtar. If you plan to go the beach, then take 102 bus. This hotel is good for the location, no luxurious...
Read moreCheck-in time in booking confirmation is 14.00, but when we arrived at 14.30 the staff said we must wait until 15.30 because the room not ready. The aircon was not working properly. We set minimum temperature at 17C but it feels like 26-28C. On second day, we request to downgrade our room in order to get better aircon, or give us 2 cards so we can keep aircon on while we was travelling outside. But the staff didn't allow it. They said the remote control had a problem and they fixed it. It was better right after the fixed it, but slowly the aircon get hot again. Especially when we just returned to the room after leaving all day, it feel like 30-32C. On third day, we complained again. Finally the staff give us solution. We can leave our card in our room when we go outside to keep the aircon running. But still, it can't cooler than 26C although the temparature seen in remote control was 17C. I think they need to do total repairment or change aircon unit in Room 402. The positive thinks: room was very clean, they provide free water refill in every floor, strategic location near to culinary center at the corner of Jalan Rangoon and...
