Dear Soho Suites KLCC,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction regarding my recent booking at Soho Suites KLCC. I had made a reservation on March 24th for a stay on May 10th, 2025, under reservation number 1574248457.

On May 10th, at 11 AM, I received a WhatsApp message from Soho Suites KLCC informing me that my reservation had been canceled due to "urgent repairs" that allegedly impacted the comfort and safety of guests. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, this was handled in a completely unacceptable manner. When I contacted Agoda, I was informed that the real reason for the cancellation was overbooking, and my booking had been overlooked.

This last-minute cancellation caused a great deal of inconvenience, as I had planned my stay around an event at EQ. Due to the lack of availability and the late notice, I had no choice but to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. As a result, I had to pay RM470 per room, totaling RM900++, which is more than three times the cost of my original booking at Soho Suites. For reference, the alternative Airbnb accommodation I found was a 3-room suite for only RM245.

The situation caused significant distress and additional financial burden, which could have easily been avoided if Soho Suites KLCC had managed the booking properly. A refund alone will not resolve the inconvenience and unfair charges I incurred due to the mishandling of my reservation. I request a full explanation for this cancellation, an official acknowledgment of the error, and appropriate compensation for the financial loss I suffered.

My wife and I stayed in an apartment on the 29th floor for 2 nights Sat-Mon. Great views of the skyscrapers in KL from the living room and main bedroom. Bed had a firm mattress which suited us perfectly. Kitchen and living room. Only negative for us was that the bathroom had a slight smell to it and no hooks to put towels on.

The tower block had 4 elevators and we were able to get an elevator pretty much straight away every time. I’ve read this can be an issue at other high rise towers so was relieved to find this not the case here!

The location was great being in the heart of KL - 10 min walk to petronas towers.

The service was really good! The team added me to a WhatsApp group before to arrange a seamless check in. We were looked after by Mohammad who was physically present to check us in and handle any queries. For example, they have a washer-dryer machine. We needed our clothes hung out to dry and Mohammad came to collect when they were ready to line dry them elsewhere and brought them back to us by the end of day.

Be aware that you will be asked for a cash deposit of 200MYR or currency equivalent. You cannot give this deposit by card. They will give the deposit back at the end of stay seamlessly should there be no issue.

Also note that the gym and swimming facilities cost to use per day (the team do state this and I think it’s on their website before you book). However, we were only there for 2 nights and did not use these facilities.
