Esperanza Hotel Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

The only thing great about this hotel is the location. The rest is mediocre at best but the room is clean at least. We stayed in a two person room. The room was just big enough for the bed. Good luck fitting on the bed if you're at all taller than the average Western person. The air-conditioning was freezing and we had to go to the lobby to get the remote to adjust the temperature. The aircon wasn't responding so we had to accept freezing to death for the night. The bathroom floor was always covered in water because of what seemed to be a leak. The rooms are also very poorly isolated from sound. I could hear people watching tv in other rooms and walking in the hall, including our neighbor who seemed to be having a very passionate phone conversation at 00.45 in the morning. This hotel doesn't deserve the seemingly glowing reviews people have...

This is the worst hotel I've ever been to. Very small room, dirty wall, they didn't even give us the remote for the air conditioner. The space between the bed to the wall only about 50 cm, making us hard to move. I ordered the twin bed room and they decided to give me the single bed room. And also, this hotel is so hard to find. They don't have any sign board, only an A4 paper with "Hotel Esperanza" printed. Not...

It's cheap, and the aircon is powerful and the wifi reasonably fast (15down/20up), but it's far from the cleanest or prettiest hotel. Also don't trust the photos used on booking sites.

The owners in the reception/central area stay up watching YouTube and talking loudly all night, and the walls are absolutely not soundproof whatsoever.
