Guesthouse@ Bukit Bintang — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

I discovered this place quiet by accident , I was looking for a room as the hotel I usually use when in KL was fully booked .. I was sitting at a table in Mon Roti food shop , I looked across the road & as I glanced up I saw the advertising banner for Guesthouse@ Bukit Bintang blazoned across the wall on a building opposite , seemingly calling out to me that I must go over & check out the place , which im glad I did , I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist who gave me the run down on the prices on the single rooms & dorms which are very affordable , the Dorm rooms are small but adequate & are only four bed so not too cramped , there is a power socket & light at each bed & a great way to ventilate the room without having the Aircon unit in the room .. the shower units are good , everything is basically new & everywhere smells fresh & clean .. There is free hot , cold water & tea , although I initially only booked for a one night stay but I extended to Three , I got to know the guy who welcomed me when I arrived , Suhay B , who turned out to be very efficient & professional in his work & will make sure that your stay is pleasant & comfortable , another cool guy there is Ming , very cordial & chilled out , well travelled & knowledgeable .. all in all I had a very enjoyable time . In not giving this place a 1 star review because of the beds, facilities, or location within the city, as all of those are simply amazing for the price. I’m giving it because The owner made us pay extra for no reason and that left me with a sour taste in my mouth. We booked with Agoda and there was no mention of a 10 MYR fee per night that we would have to pay upon check in, why not just include this in the hotel price??? So stupid. The owner said Agoda was at fault, but this would then strictly be a problem between the hotel and Agoda, not ME AND Agoda, yet he wouldn’t refund the 10 myr or deal with Agoda himself since he probably knew this would just make...

Ich hab mir das Hotel anhand der positiven Bewertungen markiert und hab nach einem Einzelzimmer für 1 Nacht angefragt und was es kosten würde? Zum Zimmer, es ist klein und ausreichend für 1-2 Nächte für Alleinreisende. Preis: für 1 Nacht 58 RM (ca. 12,5 Euro), in Ordnung bis gut (im Vergleich zu den umliegenden Hotels) Toilette und Dusche: in Ordnung, evtl sollte die Dusche öfters geputzt werden für die Anzahl der Gäste. Standort: naja ich hab mich hier nicht wohl gefühlt, hatte bei der Anreise 3 Nächte in Chow Kit Nähe MRT PWTC verbracht, fand es dort schöner. Zum Service: hat sehr viel Luft nach oben!!! Ich bin am Donnerstag Abend in KL angekommen suchte 1 Zimmer für 1 Nacht. Auf die Frage ob ich vorher das Zimmer anschauen darf, ob es den Bildern der gängigen Buchungsseiten (booking etc.) entspricht, hieß es Nein das geht nicht und es wurden mir die Bilder von booking.com gezeigt (die kenn ich bereits)! Bei anderen Unterkünfte wo ohne Buchung vorbeigegangen bin war dies jedesmal möglich und spricht auch für die Unterkunft. Da mein Flug am Freitag Abend um Mitternacht ging hatte ich gefragt, ob es möglich ist meinen großen Backpacker + kleineren Rucksack nach dem Check out tagsüber bis ca. 20 Uhr (Freitag) unterstellen könnte? Auch dies war nicht möglich, lediglich bis 14 Uhr, da am Freitag wegen eines Feiertag viele Gäste kommen und sie wenig Platz haben. Ich könnte jedoch das Zimmer 2 Nächte buchen, dann bekommt jemand anderes ein anderes Zimmer. Mir war es irgendwann zu anstrengend und hab in einem Hostel in der Straße gefragt ob ich meine Rucksäcke tagsüber unterstellen kann? Die check out Zeiten von 10 - 12 a.m sind auch etwas merkwürdig und wenn man früher auschecken muss, weil man z.b einen frühen Flug hat etc. muss man schauen, dass man seine Kaution von 50 RM irgendwie wieder bekommt. Da hat man als Gast etwas den Eindruck man wird versucht abgezockt zu werden.
