NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS NO LONGER APPLICABLE. THE ACCIDENTAL CHEESE GOURMET I really can't tell the difference between a Hydrebad Biryani,Bukhara Biryani and what ever but in the past this place used to be my favourite spot for delicious beriyani. Those days the place was pretty bare.People thronged it for the superdelicious Biryani. Once we shared a table with three executives in business gear who were addicted like us. I've forgotten how good it was now that I have found a new favourite Biryani place. But one thing's for sure, the Cheese Naan is SUPERDELICIOUS. The restaurant has gotten a face-lift. It's colourful and the open-air kitchen and beverage counters are open and free for all to see. I don't bother to see how it's done because it must be the cooking.Nowhere else is the Naan so whitish on the surface crusted brown around the rims and fluffy, with the mozzarella so melted that I could drag the cheese until it looks like a bridge!!!!! Aaaaaah... heavenly. Not done yet. This is one place I get my Lassi, salted.(I am Sentul-bred so I know some thing about sour milk,ok.) What a glorious time.Easy on the...
Read moreWent there with my family tonight as it's close to Chinatown (a little family shopping). Was planning on pancakes and cakes for supper but most are closed so I suggested naan. Service is standard, decent but nothing stands out and we aren't expecting it to anyway. Like what the other reviewers pointed out, the pricing is on the high side and the portions are a tad smaller than most of their competitors. Not providing basic curry for the naan is really surprising, given the fact that their naan pricing is probably 30% to 60% higher than the average Indian Muslim food establishment. I had the lamb briyani and the meat is really tough and dry, not the usual soft and tender texture one is expecting. The restaurant has a busker singing Malay songs at a loud volume so it kinda makes the whole supper unbearable. The serving of the food is pretty fast though but like what the others mentioned, it's small and with gravy. Taste wise, the naan is decent but it's definitely not the best, not even in top 5.the Pakistani chai comes in a kids cup, which is a big surprise for me. Anyway, we are definitely not coming...
Read moreTL;DR: The restaurant offers delicious naan with various options priced between MYR 15 to 30. Naan cheese is a standout dish. Service varies, ranging from mediocre to excellent. The crowded atmosphere can be challenging, but if you can overlook the noise and wait, the reward is fantastic naan cheese.
The restaurant provides a variety of delicious naan priced between MYR 15 to 30, accompanied by tasty side dishes. For those not inclined towards naan, rice dishes are also available. Notably, their specialty is the naan cheese. However, the service is inconsistent, ranging from mediocre to excellent.
One significant drawback is the crowded atmosphere. Even during less busy times, the place is packed, making it difficult to recommend. Securing a seat often involves a wait, and it seems whoever the server notices first gets seated sooner, understandable given the overwhelming demand. If you can tolerate the noise and wait, the reward is the delightful experience of savoring their exceptional...
