If you love eating in a cloud of cigarette smoke, this might be your dream restaurant. Despite the walls being plastered with “No Smoking” signs, a group of thuggish customers lit up proudly, as if the rules were written for someone else. The staff didn’t even pretend to care — no warning, no reaction — just business as usual. The whole scene gave off a mafia-like vibe. Instead of enjoying the delicate aroma of steamed seafood, I was forced to breathe in nothing but stale cigarette smoke. Honestly, it was disgusting and unforgivable.

Which is a shame, because the food itself is excellent. The restaurant offers a very unique Chinese-style steaming method: porridge is made at the bottom of the pot while fresh seafood is steamed above it, dripping flavor down into the rice. The staff handle all the cooking for you, and the result is not only tasty but visually fun to watch. Purely for the cooking, I’d be satisfied.

Service was uneven. Some staff were attentive, others couldn’t care less. On average, it adds up to nothing remarkable — I’d honestly prefer consistency over this strange mix.

So yes, the food is worth praising. But the atmosphere? Terrible. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys breaking small rules like smoking in a non-smoking area just to feel superior to others, then this restaurant is perfectly...

This is a restaurant you can skip. Don’t waste your money and end up suffering from the worst dining experience of a life time.

When placing our order, the waiter rudely refused to answer our questions regarding the menu. With an attitude, the waiter acted as if he got better things to do than taking our order.

The food was mediocre at best and very salty. After trying the first dish served, we requested to have the rest of our food to be cooked with less salt, but was rejected by the rudest waiter. He claimed that their dishes can not be improved (with an attitude).

The vibe of that entire experience was tensed and on edge. We just wanted to finish a few bites and leave. When the bill came, we were shocked with all the hidden charges the restaurant has scammed us. They charged for us RM 9 for two small plates of peanuts, RM 6 for a few pieces of moist towels, RM 4 for some tapped water they got from a water tap near that filthy toilet (definitely not filtered; none of us touched the water).

After this horrific experience and the worst customer experience received, just when we were debating whether or not they deserved any tips, we found out gratuity was forcefully charged already.

Overall, for us, this restaurant is a hard No!!! We won’t be going back and definitely would NOT recommend this to...

I have tried this restaurant on the night of 9-Jun-2022 (Thur) together with my family with the original intention of eating Claypot Porridge but surprised to find out that it is serving Steamed Seafood Hotpot Porridge instead. I was recommended with Set Menu A (RM588) and order randomly a 滑蛋河 to cater for my daughter who does not really take any seafood. I was pleasantly surprised that when the hor fun was served with just a toss a very nice fragrance and wok hey smell blatantly catching us off guard to the extent that my son who did not like to eat any hor fun previously suddenly asked to try a mouthful and thereafter moving the plate to be consumed by himself such that I have to order another 3 plates to share with other family members. Another surprise came with readiness of steamed oysters (with vercemili, and garlic) which again took us in surprise of its just nicely cooked, fresh and sweetness which led to my daughter rated it to be "best oysters" she ever took. I will certainly plan for another trip from Singapore to visit KL soon just to ensure that I would at least have few meals at this restaurant to fulfill my cravings for the super nice hor fun and...

This place is surely an healthier lifestyle to eating. All steamed, no fry and no oil. Definatly worth the wait for the long queue and the food steaming right in front of u. Only set back was on 1 particular unhygienic issue.. I ordered a chicken congee as the base of the pot, when it arrive there was some raw chicken, half cup of rice and a cup of brooth. How could they make congee with just a cup of brooth i was wondering... Then only i realized the steam from the pot condenses on top of the lid a slowly drip back down to the congee pot together with the essence of whatever food that was being steamed. Sounds cleaverly delicious. Then when i notice everytime when the waiter opens the lid to serve or check on the food, they wipe out the condensed water with a cloth. This cloth was just put on the serving tray everytime the deed was done. All other tables have their own cloth and was just laying on the food tray. I did see them discard the cloths after each table were done. I presumably that each table gets a new cloth. Anyway it just felt abit unhygienic.

I was visiting Kuala Lumpur and my friend recommended me this place for quality seafood and great variety. I didn't book in advance. I just walked in. I was amazed by the choices offered. I ordered raw and steamed oysters, abalone, mushrooms and dumplings. I didn't believe the size of oysters and I ended up taking home leftovers. Cubed jelly drink was amazing. So I ate bigger oysters only in Japan, they were super meaty and creamy, both raw and steamed one. Steamed one was on a rice noodle pillow with garlic and spice topping. Abalone was surved in this way too and slightly steamed in my presence. All food you order is being cooked by your server on your personal table. They have sauce bar too. Check this place out and you won't leave disappointed! 5 star service, you get treated like a royalty and they accept Visa. Not pricey for that type of food. I would spend 3 times more in the US. Great experience.

Type: Chinese Restaurant Signature: Steamed Hotpot and Live Seafood Place is for seafood lovers that prefers live seafood but the Signature famous dish here is really the Porridge (which is served at the end). After absorbing all the steam dishes' sauces, the porridge is super duper tasty. All seafood are served live.. So you can't get fresher than this. We ordered abalone, Scallop, Clams (lala) and others which were all served fresh. Besides the steamed dishes we also ordered the Ginger Steamed Siakap (4 🌟) which was really good, fresh and tasty. The Spicy century Egg (4 🌟) was also nicely flavored. Only complain here is their handmade meatball platter (3 Sapphire Balls) which was really bad (2 🌟)... Give this a pass. Also Customer service is average only. Anyway place is Highly recommended for seafood lovers 👍. Taste Rating 8/10 Ambience Rating 8/10 Service Rating 7/10 Value Rating 8/10
