This was my first time staying at the NOVOTEL Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel. We chose this hotel to experience a different atmosphere in a lively area. On our previous two visits, we stayed at other ACCOR hotels in different locations. However, we were very impressed with NOVOTEL Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel. The hotel is located in Bukit Bintang, a strategic area surrounded by shopping malls and numerous restaurants. It’s a bustling neighborhood full of life, with people constantly walking around, making the atmosphere fun and vibrant. The hotel is conveniently connected to the Pavillion mall via a walkway, which makes getting around easy. It’s also close to Jalan Alor Street Food, a lively spot at night filled with tourists from around the world. This area offers a variety of local food stalls, and we enjoyed dinner there, just a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Hotel Details: The lobby is not very large but has enough seating for relaxation. The first floor houses the front desk, an executive lounge, and the Gourmet Bar. The hotel has a limited number of elevators, so there might be a bit of a wait during peak times like check-in, check-out, or breakfast hours. Our room was compact but well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was soft and provided excellent comfort, ensuring a good rest. Instead of bottled water (to support the hotel's plastic reduction policy), there was a water filter in the bathroom, allowing us to refill our personal bottles anytime. We appreciated this feature, as we drink a lot of water and always carry our own bottles. The fitness center is adequately equipped, offering a range of cardio and weight training machines. Impressively, all equipment is from the Technogym brand, which is exceptional compared to hotels of similar standard, even other NOVOTEL locations. The swimming pool overlooks the Pavilion mall, making it a relaxing spot to swim or enjoy the view. Evening Cocktails at the Executive Lounge: We visited the executive lounge for evening cocktail hours, where the food and drinks provided were of excellent quality and variety, enough to substitute for dinner. The cozy atmosphere made us feel at home, and the staff’s service added to the experience. Special mention to Mr. Miyad, who always welcomed us with a smile and ensured every guest felt cared for. Breakfast at Food Exchange: We chose to have breakfast at the Food Exchange restaurant. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including hot dishes, an egg station, a local noodle station, pastries, fruits, juices, and more. A highlight for us was the Teh Tarik, which we thoroughly enjoyed, as it smelled and tasted amazing—a must-have whenever we visit Malaysia. In Conclusion: We were highly impressed with this hotel. Its prime location in Bukit Bintang, a major shopping district in Kuala Lumpur, is a major plus. The evening cocktails at the executive lounge and the breakfast at Food Exchange were diverse and delicious. The staff, particularly Mr. Miyad, provided excellent service with a warm and welcoming attitude. Overall, this hotel is great value for money, and we will definitely choose to stay here again on future visits to Kuala Lumpur.

Venue: Located in the CBD. Triangle block of the busy intersection. About 10 minutes walk to the nearest Monorail (Raja Chun) / MRT (Bukit Bintang) stations. The walkways surrounding the hotel is uneven with stairs. Not disabled friendly. Only have one entrance (another one as closed). Just cross the bridge to reach Pavillion and other shopping Malls. Walk 10-15 min to KLCC park and Petronas Twin Towers. Easy to get everything. --- 7.9/10 Facilities: The structures and interior designs is 80s style. Spacious. The carpet of the corridor is old but very soft. Basement level: Fee payable carpark. Lobby, G/F: Gourmet Bar, Premium Lounge (for particular members only), Concierge, frontdesk, fast checkout box, free drinking water is available. 3 lifts to each floors. You can see the Menara KL through the window besides the lifts. --- 7.3/10 1/F: Food Exchange Restaurant. Free breakfast buffet for Accord members. Good varieties of food and beverages. Quality was average. --- 7/10 2/F: Function rooms. 3/F: a) Prayer's room. b) Fitness center with bathrooms and basic equipments. c) swimming pools. No staff on duty. Towels are provided at the entrance. Very quiet. --- 7.4/10 Room: a) we got the room with plain city view on 22/F, but spacious. b) Air-conditioning was not so tranquil consistently but not too bad (able to sleep). c) Mattress is old but ok. The Bedsheet had some strains (? Unable to wash off). 2 Pillows for each person are the same texture, too thin and flat for me. d) Big TV screen with various channels including satellite TV. e) Simlpe office table, minibar with mini fridge and free tea bags, an electric kettle, an iron, a hairdryer, and a safe. Enough drawers and power outlets for me. f)The area of bathroom is small, but ok for me. Amenities were provided. There is 3m water filter for immediate drinking water. Shower with good hot water supply. --- 7.3/10 (overall) Service: matched with hotel standard. Polite and smiles. a) Front desk: 5 staff during peak hours. Smooth check-in and checkout process. --- 7.3/10 b) Housekeeping: keep everything clean and tidy. Refilled the tea bags. Needed to ask the front desk twice for refilling towels (removed the used towels on the towel rack). A complimentary snack and letter were placed on the coffee table on the arrival day. --- 7.4/10 c) Concierge: very friendly and helpful. --- 7.7/10

I had mixed feelings with the hotel. Location is 5 stars, undeniably! Room was very well maintained and clean. I had a good sleep on my 2 nights I stayed there. Bed was firm. Pillows were soft. Bathroom amenities are more than sufficient, and are so fragrant too! Sustainability initiatives are very evident, with unlimited purified drinking water available. So kudos to the housekeeping department! Sadly speaking, customer service is quite lacking. I had a good impression when I checked in on 2nd Nov around 1am. Receptionist was very friendly despite working alone for the night. And then everything went downhill after that. I had access to the lounge, the receptionist told me when I checked in. I went for breakfast at the lounge, but was asked to leave and use the main dining hall. During the evening cocktails, I was asked if I was an Accor premium member otherwise I won't be allowed to enter. In both occasions, I had to explain that I understand my room category had access to the lounge. If only there was a properly trained staff by the entrance of the lounge who would promptly ask about the guest's room number and verify immediately whether lounge access is possible, then such scenarios would not happen. This is very disappointing and I am having second thoughts about booking again. If I book again, I wouldn't get lounge access to avoid any disappointment. This makes me wonder, is 1601 really a premium room or was i downgraded to an executive room? Cos my actual room isn't anywhere close to the website photos of a premium room which I thought are located in the premium floor on the 25th. I hope Novotel can address these concerns.

We recently stayed at Novotel City Centre in Kuala Lumpur for 5 nights, and overall, our experience was delightful despite a minor hiccup at the beginning.

Location: The hotel’s location is absolutely fantastic, making it a perfect choice for travelers looking to explore the heart of KL. It’s just a short walk to Pavilion Mall, one of the city’s premier shopping and dining destinations. For convenience, there’s a 7-Eleven located just a few steps away, which was great for grabbing quick snacks or necessities. The hotel is also well-connected to major attractions, with public transport and the monorail station nearby, making it easy to navigate the city.

Staff & Service: The staff at Novotel City Centre were welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Initially, we were given a room that had a noticeable odor. However, upon raising this concern, the staff quickly addressed the issue and moved us to another room, which was clean and comfortable. Their prompt response left a positive impression.

Rooms & Amenities: We booked three rooms for our group, and aside from the initial issue with one of them, the overall quality of the rooms met our expectations. They were well-maintained, and spacious, and provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

Dining: The breakfast selection was impressive, with various local and international dishes to suit different palates. Whether you’re in the mood for something light or a hearty meal to start your day, there’s something for everyone.

Lobby & Ambience: The lobby is modern and inviting, providing a great first impression upon arrival. It’s also a comfortable space to relax or wait for transportation.

Overall Experience: Our 5-night stay at Novotel City Centre was pleasant and hassle-free, aside from the minor room issue at check-in, which was promptly resolved. The excellent location, welcoming staff, and great breakfast options make it a solid choice for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur. We would definitely consider staying here again on future trips to the city.

Highly recommended for both business and...
