The ONLY thing going for this place is the location, ambience, and atmosphere. Once you get over that, everything starts falling apart.

The kitchen’s inability to cook meat properly is shocking. Most dishes are undercooked and raw on the inside while being overcooked on the outside. The chicken we were served was dry and tough on the outside but completely raw on the inside—clear evidence the chef has no idea about heat control. The 99-ringgit beef was served completely raw for everyone at the table, and sending it back to the kitchen didn’t improve things.

As for the service, it was painfully slow. Plates took forever to arrive, and even basic requests were forgotten or delayed.

For a place charging premium prices, this level of incompetence in both food preparation and service is unacceptable. You’re better off dining elsewhere if you’re looking for something beyond pretty decor and...

We previously visited this restaurant several months ago and had a memorable meal with personalised service.

Sadly this was not the case on this visit. We were a party of five. Three meals were served around the same time, the other two meals coming a full twenty minutes or more later. As our family waited for the other meals to arrive before eating they were obviously quite cold by the time we all ate together. My wife’s chicken was also cold when served and had to be returned and our daughter’s meal over spiced. The Beef Rendang was sadly rather fatty, a dish that had been highlighted on the menu.

Service was not as personal this time with perfunctory staff contact. Two large and rather noisy groups dominated the restaurant and the waiters time and left us with a sad reflection on our previously excellent...

The flavour of the food and the quality of the staff are amazing. And all that in a perfectly styled green house.

Had dinner here with my girlfriend 2 days ago and we were amazed by the quality of the food and the service. The staff is extremely knowledgable about the food they serve and give good recommendations. The 6 sambals with crackers is a must try if you ask us.

The green house is a temporary solution, cause the restaurant is being built right behind it - fun fact, you are eating in what will later transform into the garden for most of the used herbs and flowers in the dishes.

100% recommend, even with the more...

Went for a birthday dinner at OpenHouse Conlay. Ambience was beautiful and perfect for special occasions — classy and cozy. Food-wise, the highlight was definitely the ikan bakar air asam, super delicious and worth recommending. The rest of the dishes were just average for the premium price point. However, one disappointing part was the satay chicken — the ketupat served had a sour smell (almost basi). The chef apologized and replaced it with cucur udang, but the satay was still charged in the final bill, which felt a bit off. Overall, lovely ambience and one standout dish, but food consistency and service recovery could be improved. ⭐⭐⭐½
