Stayed here over the busy Raya weekend. The hotel provides basic necessities - aircond, 3 (or 4?) Astro channels, hot shower (you won't need this with the hot weather anyway!) - even got myself an extra pillow. I would recommend you to bring your toiletries. Two bottles of 500ml mineral water provided daily, you can refill your water (hot and cold) from a dispenser outside in the common area. No lift in the building, but as we were staying on the first floor and travelling light, it was hardly noticed. Wifi is available in the room, even though sometimes the coverage may not be strong.||||Location: It is quite centrally located at one of the shoplots in Plaza Mahkota, where you probably find a dozen more B&Bs in. Walk to Jonker Street will take you pass the Maritime Museum and along the river, pass the iconic giant water mill and the Stadthuys - all in less than 20 minutes. The good thing is if you are driving into Melaka, you escape all those congested roads leading into town. Food is avalable and ample in the clusters of shops around Plaza Mahkota, all within walking distance - food court with halal and non-halal sections, Chinese, Hakka, Nyonya, Malay food shops, satay celup and the famed Nadeje milli crepe shop as well.||||Service: Checking in and out was fuss-free. Charlotte and the man (didn't get his name) at the front desk were friendly and helpful, from recommending places to explore and eat to telling us stories/history of the places, people, culture.||||It is not my first time in Melaka but still I found so much new things to learn of and new nooks and corners to explore. Friend from HK enjoyed this...

Read moreThis hotel was exactly what we were looking for. It was close to the attractions and amenities we sought to explore. It's on a quiet street away from the main street. Coffee shops, launderette, ATM and restaurants nearby. Our room, like the rest of the hotel was exceptionally clean. 24 hour front desk allowed us to check in shortly after midnight. Strong AC, finicky, wifi in the evenings, and plenty of hot water for showers with good water pressure. Free drinking water, iron and board available for guests and hairdryer. As a budget traveler and backpacker I can't complain. The staff were very polite and interactive. I don't recommend this place though for anyone with mobility issues as there is no elevator/lift and the stairs are fairly steep and tiring. Also as many backpackers if you're looking for a more social setting this wouldn't be ideal however if your looking for a quiet place to relax I highly...
