Hotel Balik Pulau Melaka — Hotel in Malacca

Pro +Location: a bit far away ~3-4 building blocks from taming sari/ uptown and beca location (compared to other hotels). Good thing is, it is less crowded, easy to find parking, and quiet, very suitable for light sleeper and those with infants and kids. Other hotels which are located nearer to taming sari sounds noisy, difficult to find parking. Lucky we book balik pulau hotel one. +comfy bed and pillows. But might be troublesome to those w high bmi as the bed is a bit sinking. After long day spending touring around melaka, the soft beds are definitely helping us getting a sound, good night snore. +water heater works wonderfully +spacious +big sink/toilet basin. +clean. Not even a single dust/ hair on the floor

Cons +dim light. Might looks cozy to some but for a short sighted people like me, very difficult to find things like hair band/ clip/ even do my make up. +toilet seat is very close to the shower sliding door, have to tilt position a bit for bussiness. +pooling of water on the floor at the toilet siting area, the drain was in the middle of the toilet, bad drainage system. Very uncomfortable to do bussiness as our feet touching the flooding water, also very cold. +shower area also a bit narrow, only 2+ tiles width. +have to always pay parking ticket ya! The officer is very diligent even work early at 8am.

OVERALL. VERY COMFORTABLE AND SATISFIED....

This is first time I stay in hotel which have 2 separate partition for toilets and wash basin outside. It's very thoughtful of the hotel.

The room is huge. It would be great if they have in room mini bar too.

Love the lazy chair in the room.

This huge room is only RM195 per night.

The staffs are very professional, helpful & friendly.

Additional breakfast for only RM1!

The room is quite cramped by today's standards but it should be enough to accommodate for a good night's sleep, the only gripe I have with them is the mattress and pillows, the mattress is very soft almost too soft to be comfortable and the pillow is like it just got stuffed with mattress foam causing it to have a rigid shape and is a bit too tall for your average neck to be able to rest on...
