I would give it a zero rating if it was possible but it isn't. First of all, we were "pleasantly" surprised when we arrived at the hotel as they miscalculated the bookings we did online, causing part of our group to be split up to another hotel as they were lacking accommodations for 2 of our members, stating that "it was full already and there was nothing they can do about it". Worse still is that on the first day of our visit, right when we were about to end that day back at the hotel, we saw another couple whose reservations had issue as well, showing the lack of basic management on the hotel's part to do something as simple as taking bookings. Upon entering the room, the smell of moth balls was so overpowering that we had to leave the hotel door open for quite some time to get rid of the smell, and even upon doing so there were still lingering smell which we had to bear afterwards. Of course it wasn't a surprise that there was such a strong odor as the whole room was littered with the moth balls, with like over 12 of them all over the room, making the room very uncomfortable to sleep in. With the water pump right outside of the rooms on every floor and the hotel room walls being wafer thin, during the night it became almost impossible to sleep as the pump was constantly running on and off like a torture device they installed just to make sure you couldn't get a good night's rest. As for cleanliness, I'm pretty sure the pictures posted would tell a truthful tale on its on. All being said, we decided to check out on the second day of the trip, wasting the entire 2nd morning in Malacca searching for another accommodation, which is a ridiculous waste of time on our precious holiday. In summary, this place shouldn't even be called a hotel as even my grandmother's house compared to this place is a heaven. In a singaporean context, I would rather stay in any army camp or even tekong than stay in this hole. Only stay here if you're trying to test if you would survive a zombie apocalypse or being in a nuclear fallout shelter.
