A Peaceful Oasis!
Our recent stay at Palm Garden Putrajaya offered a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. Nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking the serene lake, this resort-style hotel provided a tranquil atmosphere that immediately put us at ease. The sprawling grounds with beautifully maintained gardens were perfect for morning walks, and the overall ambiance struck a nice balance between luxury and comfort. The natural surroundings and peaceful environment made for a refreshing stay that almost felt like an island resort like in Bali or Thailand's islands.
LOCATION: The hotel's location is both a strength and a potential drawback depending on your purpose of visit. Situated in Putrajaya, about 30-40 minutes from central Kuala Lumpur, it's perfect if you're looking to escape the city chaos or have business in the administrative district. The hotel sits beside the picturesque Putrajaya Lake and is close to attractions like the Pink Mosque, Putrajaya Botanical Gardens, and several government buildings. However, if you're planning to explore KL's main attractions, be prepared for a bit of commuting.
DINE + DRINK: The food and beverage options at Palm Garden Putrajaya were top notch!. The main restaurant, Palms Café, offers a decent spread for breakfast with both Malaysian and international options, though the selection could get repetitive for longer stays. We enjoyed the themed dinner buffets, particularly the local cuisine nights, where we sampled authentic Malaysian dishes. The Aroi Dee Thai restaurant on-site was a pleasant surprise, with flavorful dishes and attentive service. The poolside bar serves refreshing drinks, though the prices were on the higher side
ROOM: We stayed in Room 801, which was a PENHOUSE SUITE, so this review is based on that; SIZE: A mind-blowingly huge suite split between 2 levels and 3 individual bedrooms! The master bedroom is on the top floor with its own dedicated lounge area and refrigerator. The suite even has a Kitchen/Pantry room loaded with a huge refrigerator and mini-stove, microwave, and a state-of-the-art Espresso machine!; VIEW: Spectacular views of the greenery and the city skyline at a distance; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: The suite is overloaded with 4 Bathrooms - one in each room. The Master bedroom's bathroom on the top floor is so huge and bigger than most typical double rooms at hotels! It even comes with its own SAUNA room!; TOILETRIES: Lovely spa quality toiletries by GUILD brand
FACILITIES: A lovely Gym with a decent range of weights and Cardio machines, good enough for a full-on workout. They have 2 swimming pools. The main one is designed like a Balinese pool and is magical for a lounging session or an intensive aqua workout.
SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to Chef IRWAN for whipping up a super custom meal to suit our dietary preferences, and DANIEL and CRISTINA at the Front office for enhancing our stay!
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TVs in each of the Rooms and an unbelievably HUGE Smart TV in the hall - each dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in...
