We did a walk-in and there’s quite a few rooms available, but we compared prices and booked a standard queen with no window through Agoda instead cause we save quite abit from booking online. It’s a very simple square room yet nicely designed. Their pillow cases and bedsheet are comfortably nice smell - makes me want to stay in bed all morning. Toilet is a frosted glass - there’s isn’t a lot privacy if you’re traveling with children. Downside of this place is that they are located above a pub, as I am a light sleeper, I could hear the music beating during my stay - I couldn’t sleep until 2 - 3am or either I will wake up at 1am. Since I couldn’t sleep, I read my book until I feel tired/sleepy - they had a light torch attached to the wall which I can conveniently switch it on without disturbing my Husband and son sleeping.||||Food are a easy to find, they are everywhere - there’s a restaurant located downstairs the hotel and we conveniently went down to have our dinner and breakfast - I feel that they are a bit expensive but their food are delicious. We then walk a bit to try another place at (if I could recall, it’s called) Curry House (if I’m not wrong) - there, we had our breakfast on our last day of stay. My most enjoyed meal was the Halal Chinese-Muslim dim sum called Muhd Chan, located the opposite back of from the hotel, near Guardian - worth the money and my son loves it!||||All in all, great staffs, but would like to specially thank Jimmy for making our stay comfortable and easy - he’s very helpful in every way and...

Good ambience from check in to the room. Walls, decor and floor look clean and new.
Keep in mind the drinking establishment next door, stayed in a room on the 1st floor along the shared wall, earplugs were packed but the bed and headboard was rattled by loud bar music that continued up to 3am on weekends. Try to get a room on the left side of the hotel.
Only encountered one cockroach that likely crawled in from the hotel's back door (not from inside the room). Easily dispatched.
Male Chinese staff on night shift and male Malay staff in the afternoon were accommodating and pleasant to interact with.
Could not say the same for the one female staff on day shift. Basically ignored me (male Chinese) on check in to deal with a walk in male Malay guest without a prior booking that arrived after I did, while I was in the middle of procuring my passport. Straight up told me "I am going to serve this customer first." Waited 10 minutes for that situation to get resolved and they ended up turning him away before I could finally check in. Female staff member was also not accommodating to requests for amenities or replacements. Basically ignored me when I asked for additional bottled water (that the other two staff members happily provided on previous days).
Make of it what you will. Small blemish on an otherwise...
Read moreTerrible Room Unbelievable! The first time to this place was ok as it is Mixx Hotel, this time only I knew there's a difference between Mixx Hotel and Mixx Express Sunway. Both located at the same place same building same entrance and even when you make the booking those pictures looks the same. Beware of booking Mixx Express Sunway, the room smells extremely terrible not terrific. It will really will get you disappointed soon as you open the room door, even before you switch on the light and get into the room those strong scent of cheapo fragrance smell will definitely annoy you. As when you put on the key card to light up the room, you'll be shocked to see the wall painting were peeled off, the bathroom toilet there were stains and black mold all over the corners. The bedsheet with stains and holes, the tv not clear and only with local channel no IPTV, Netflix whatsoever. Room No 104. What an experience! No more Mixx!
