Honest verdict : 5 stars for my 1st hour. 1 star for my 2nd hour.
Ambience not bad. A bit dark but good enough to eat.. The exhaust system at the grill is good but I did still end up smelling like grilled pork once I was done.
Food* was good during my first hour. However, after crossing the hour mark, food quality went down. The marbling on the Wagyu beef slices deteriorated tremendously. Didn't take photo cos I was still damn hungry(taste/quality didn't wane because I was getting more full) and my charcoal flame was dying. Not much flavour compared to the first 60 minutes. Service is slow though their waiters are polite and patient. My service bell was spoilt. Maybe they didn't pay much attention to me as I dined alone. Had to wait 20plus minutes for one of my orders... their tactic of discouraging people with big appetites to eat less?
includes wagyu outside flat, kurobuta pork, butter fish, prawns etc...
I paid almost RM180(super premium) and they still had to charge me RM3.90 for cheese and other drinks other than green tea.. hmmm.... didn't know cheese and soft drinks cost more than RM180.
I am fine paying for good food. But don't short change your customers who pay this amount with inferior meat slices after the first 60minutes.... you want to earn more? Don't say your wagyu is unlimited... won't be going back anymore unless they change this policy of theirs..
I would give more than 1 star BUT I felt cheated because you could literally see the difference and taste the difference in the meat slices for every plate above our 20th plate. I hate dishonest people and felt that they were being dishonest and outright cheating their customers for serving inferior meat after the first 60minutes.. I hope I will be compensated for this dishonesty.... Will definitely tell all my friends about your...

Rocku Yakiniku combines the art of Japanese BBQ with a lively, modern atmosphere. Located in a bustling part of the city, it offers a unique dining experience where customers cook their own food at the table. Here's a breakdown of the experience:
Ambiance
The restaurant's interior is vibrant and stylish, with dim lighting and upbeat music creating an exciting atmosphere. The mix of modern design and Japanese-inspired decor makes it a great spot for casual gatherings or celebrations. However, it can get noisy during peak hours, which might not suit those seeking a quiet meal.
Food Quality
Rocku shines in its quality of ingredients. The meat selection includes a variety of cuts like wagyu beef, pork belly, and marinated chicken, all of which are fresh and flavorful. Vegetables and seafood options are also available for variety. The highlight is the assortment of dipping sauces, which elevate the flavors.
Service
The staff is attentive, ensuring that the grill is well-maintained and providing guidance for first-timers. They are quick to replenish ingredients and address requests, though there can be slight delays when the restaurant is crowded.
Value for Money
Rocku offers an all-you-can-eat buffet at a reasonable price, making it an excellent value for meat lovers. Drinks are sold separately, but the variety of food makes up for it.
Overall Experience
Rocku Yakiniku is a fantastic place for those who enjoy interactive dining and high-quality food in a fun setting. While it might not be ideal for a quiet date, it's perfect for group outings or celebrations.

Read moreTried: Lunch Buffet on a Weekday (Usual Price: RM49.90++)
Paid: RM28.94 nett (after 50pc discount from using Eatigo) per person (Good value with the 50pc discount)
Food: 2/5 Variety of food options is good Cooked food from the self-serve buffet station was not bad Like: Butter Fish, Enoki Mushrooms, Smoked Duck, Seaweed Salad, Japanese steamed egg (Chawanmushi), Miso Soup, Sesame Balls (Goma Dango) Some of the raw meat and seafood had light miso seasoning. It was not enough to give them great taste. Prawns and mussels were not fresh unfortunately. Prawns were a bit black. Mussels had an off-taste. Pork belly were strangely chewy, even though they were thinly-sliced. Saba (mackerel) pieces still had fins on them. Unfortunately, none of the meat and seafood was amazing. Freshness of the meat and seafood needs improvement.
Service: 4/5 Was seated and attended to promptly on entering the restaurant. Wait staff came to table promptly upon our pressing of the bell button on the table for orders of meat and seafood. The empty/used containers and plates were stacking up on our table but it took a while for the wait staff to notice and come to our table to clear them.
Atmosphere: 4/5 Generally comfortable. Lighting was a bit too dim. No basin for washing hands. No toilet in restaurant. Have to use shopping mall's toilets outside restaurant.
Conclusion: Hesitant to come back again because most of the meat and seafood that we had were not fresh.
Hope the restaurant could take notice of customer feedback and improve. Wishing...
