Magical place with top notch staff. Our first trip to Castillo Blarney and all I can say is it exceeded our expectations in every way. First I must say that my wife and I live in Las Vegas and have worked in the hospitality industry for many many years and are very picky and have a ton of attention to detail. We called the hotel to confirm our stay details and talked to one of the managers Tiera She was very helpful and answered all questions. We told her that our flight was coming in after front desk was closed and she said no problem they would have someone stay to give us our keys. When we arrived the place was much larger than the pictures show. It is quite interesting. We were shown our room Room #1 Jr. Suite. Nothing Junior about it. Suite was huge spotless and much nicer then we expected Room has some of the best construction I have seen anywhere in our travels. Beds comfortable bathroom and shower area super nice. We had ordered a bottle of sparkling wine to be in room when we arrived. It was there and very good. We also elected to have breakfast cooked in our room daily. Nice touch. Chef Sonja did a fantastic job in our huge well appointed kitchen. My wife is a deep tissue massage therapist and arranged a massage in our room through Irma at the front desk. The therapist Lupe was very knowledgeable and great at her craft my wife said she thoroughly enjoyed her 90 minute massage. All I can say is that our first stay at Castillo Blarney will not be our last. We are in the process of getting a group together to rent the complete castle. LOL 6 suites. The place is located about 4 to 5 minute uber or cab ride to marina and beaches. Cost us about 3 to 4 US dollars each way. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a ride either way we used Uber. Pool area and Bar very nice. Views are unbelievable morning and night . Restaurant on property Brennans is very beautiful with fantastic views just like the hotel. It is closed until first of year due to getting things back up and running after covid. We had dinner twice in one of the most beautiful restaurants in Cabo just around the corner from the hotel. Casa Martin this one is not to be missed no matter where you stay. Again Much Thanks Tiera Manager Ryan Manager Irma concierge front desk Sonja Chef Lupe Massage and Brian hotel ambassador LOL You should all give our hotels here in Las Vegas a lesson on how to treat people and how a hotel should be run. They could use your expertise Tom and...
Read moreTHE most impressive customer service! I am blown away by the staff here, they truly go above and beyond.
First, I’ll cover the basics: the hotel. The rooms are nice, super big, clean, and have full size fridges and clean water on tap. It’s not a beach-front hotel, but it’s still just a short cab ride away. You’ll get a great room for the low price! It’s a very cute and sort of funny (an Irish-themed little castle-looking building was not what I was expecting to see in Cabo lol) hotel sitting on a hill. There’s a well-kept little pool out back, and they’ll even cook you a waffle breakfast by request. I split my time between this hotel and the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica (a place I was staying for a wedding, but which I didn’t want to spend $500 a night for the whole week so I started the trip at Blarney) and the room at the ultra high-end 5-star resort was, not even kidding, about 1/3rd the size and had a mini fridge and no water in the room. Sure this place isn’t an all-inclusive resort, so know what type of trip you are planning and chose the right experience for you. Come here when you want to do Cabo more affordably or if you are planning to spend time out and about doing activities and visiting beaches, go to an all-inclusive resort when you want a luxury experience and want to do all of your eating, drinking, and relaxing at the hotel.
Now back to the most impressive thing about this hotel: the staff. Not only were they all super warm, welcoming, and helpful during my stay - they went the extra mile for me even after I left. I accidentally forgot two dresses in the closet, and to save me the cost of expensive shipping from Mexico to California - they coordinated to have a staff member actually bring my items in their suitcase on their next trip to the US to ship it domestically. It was such a good idea, and so kind of them to do! Good customer service would have been to hold my items for me and then communicate with me to ship them back to my house from the hotel - to have a staff member offer to save room for my things in their own suitcase on a personal trip to the US in order to save me major shipping costs is so much more than. I’ve left many things behind on international trips over the years, and have never seen any of it again. This is a level of customer service I’ve almost never encountered. I can’t recommend...
Read moreWe too had a bit of a time finding the place. This was mostly my own fault because I did not map it before going to Cabo. I was relying on my phone which because of my carrier, my data did not work properly. I found a place with WIFI and found my way there. The suite was wonderful, with full kitchen, and living room. as well as a large bedroom and comfy bed. Our room had WIFI though a little slow at times. we only stayed one night as we could not get into our resort until one day after arrival. We will probably stay there again but for a longer time, next time. The place is a great quiet place that has a limited amount of rooms. Brian and Irma are both great to deal with, because it is a small family owned place you feel like you are more welcomed than you do at the larger resorts. I think they offer great accommodations for the price. If you want a place that is quiet, with a great pool area, you can't go wrong here. There is what appears to be a nice restaurant on site for dinner. we were only there for one night so I can not comment on food quality. but it has good reviews on TA. ||The only con to the place is location. It is on the fringe of the tourist zone. So if you like to walk to the marina and touristy area, it is a bit of a walk. The area you walk through may seem a bit run down, but I would say it is safe. I have never felt unsafe in Cabo, even in the more fringe areas. if you want there is Ubers and...
