Tres Rayas: A Culinary Gem in Cabo San Lucas
Nestled in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, Tres Rayas has quickly become my absolute favorite restaurant—and I’d argue the best in the area. From the moment you step in, it’s clear this spot is something special, blending exceptional cuisine with top-notch service that sets a new standard for the region.
The food here is nothing short of phenomenal. Every dish bursts with fresh, bold flavors that capture the essence of Baja California. I’ve been particularly blown away by the whole fish, grilled to perfection with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky interior; the succulent grilled shrimp; the vibrant Baja shrimp tacos loaded with zesty toppings; and my personal standout, the crab tostada, which layers rich crab meat on a crisp base with just the right touch of citrus and spice. Paired with their refreshing beverages—like tangy lemonade, crisp cucumber water, or even their impeccably filtered house water—each meal feels like an elevated experience.
The staff are true professionals, the best-trained I’ve encountered in Cabo. Their attentiveness and genuine warmth make every visit feel personalized and effortless. Adding to the ambiance is the restaurant’s stellar music selection, easily the most eclectic and enjoyable of any spot in town—it keeps the energy lively without overwhelming conversation.
My friend and I discovered this hidden gem about a month ago, and we’ve been returning almost daily ever since. It’s that addictive. However, there’s one notable drawback: dining here at night. The lighting is overwhelmingly bright, almost clinical, to the point where it feels like you could see through your clothes. It’s a jarring contrast to the otherwise inviting atmosphere and detracts from what could be a flawless evening out.
If the owners could dim things down for nighttime—perhaps with softer, ambient fixtures—Tres Rayas would undoubtedly rival Michelin-starred establishments. Until then, I recommend sticking to daytime visits to fully appreciate its brilliance. If you’re in Cabo, do yourself a favor and make this your go-to spot—you...
Read moreWe were skeptical of eating here because we’re not huge fish eaters… but we’re very glad we decided to!! The fish of the day was incredible in how it was cooked. We also had the coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail and the guacamole which were awesome.
The margaritas were also sold. They did this thing where they set alight some rosemary in the drink and it smells so damn good!!
We were impressed and would 100% come again. This place was legit.
Also worth noting we went with 4 kids and they liked it too as they had...
