Incredible meal and vibe for the perfect relaxing meal and intimate experience. Tip to find the entrance - navigate to El Nido at Hacienda Escondida for the driveway that has signs leading you the rest of the way. If you use the address, it will take you to the wrong side of the building and there are no signs or indication on how to get there. The only entrance is the driveway off of C. Miguel Angel Herrera. Once you walk through the small wooden door entrance, you are immediately transported to a breathtaking setting. There is live music that goes through the speakers throughout the restaurant so it is not too loud no matter where you sit. You really should take some time to walk around to take in the beautiful setting. The food selections are fresh and delicious. Despite visiting in the off-season and most restaurants having plenty of availability, I would definitely recommend making a reservation since it was packed. They have small private areas for larger parties that really make for a unique dining experience with families and groups of any sizes. Valet parking is available or the attendant will assist your taxi/shuttle driver for the best arrival and pick-up experience. There were plenty of wine options and everything was reasonably priced. When we visited for our anniversary, the staff provided a complimentary dessert with candle to celebrate our experience in a special way. I would highly recommend making this a visit for a special occasion. The one area that could have been improved was the service delivery. Although the staff was very polite and bi-lingual, they seemed short staffed which left us with empty cocktail glasses and waiting for our wine glasses to be refilled. The food was very timely and delicious, it just seemed like the servers were...
Read morePossibility one of the best experiences ever. We had dinner in November of this year. All aspects of this restaurant exceeded our expectations. By far the most beautiful restaurant in Cabo. Food drinks service and prices were all fantastic. I will never go back to Cabo without a trip to Casa Martin. Its in a very secluded area of town on a very short street. You would never know it was a restaurant from the outside other than the small sign. Its a quick uber or cab from Marina. Entrance looks your walking into someones secluded home. After the beautiful old wood doors are opened you step into what looks like a movie set of the most beautiful restaurant you have ever been too but not commercial at all. Just a beautifully designed place. Seating is under roof or under sky your choice the place is so well laid out you cant get a bad table . Lighting is done so well. The night we were there a guitar player was playing really nice tunes for dinner and drinks. Mrs Martin stopped by our table while we were eating and asked if there was anything that she could do for us. You feel like family in this place. Top notch restaurant super great food. Octopus tostada, Lobster risotto with light truffle and Fresh catch of the day Sea Bass were all excellent. Chef send us two complementary Raviolis appetizers with a wonderful sauce. Lobster Risotto was one of the best dishes I have ever been served. lots of menu choices Seafood Steaks and Mexican gourmet. Cant wait to return. Thanks Roger Martin and your wonderful wife and staff for giving us a experience will will never forget. Make reservations it gets busy. As soon as people find out about this place it will be a long wait to get a reservation. The pictures you see do no justice for what awaits you when you walk in the...
Read moreWe drove 24 minutes from the Hilton based on all the glowing reviews and recommendations, thinking it would be a great Father’s Day spot. Unfortunately, the experience was a complete letdown.
We ordered a ribeye, asked for medium, and were served a steak that was essentially raw. The exterior was barely seared, while the inside was cold, pale, grayish-pink, and almost translucent — completely unappetizing. When we pointed this out, they threw it back on the grill to cook it a bit more.
But honestly, by that point, eating there had become nearly impossible. The flies were completely out of control — easily 20 or more buzzing around us constantly. We spent most of the time swatting them away, which was especially stressful since we had our toddler with us. The situation felt incredibly unsanitary. Flies are known to carry bacteria, regurgitate, and defecate wherever they land, including directly on the food. That made us extremely uncomfortable continuing to eat.
We ultimately had to pack the food to go, but ended up throwing it out the moment we left because flies had already landed on everything. For the price point and the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, food quality, and basic dining conditions.
Sadly, this was a huge disappointment, waste of...
