Villa Buena Vida - DeVera — Hotel in Pedregal

Amazing villa, staff and owner! The view alone is worth the trip! Highly recommended and we will absolutely be booking again.

I wanted to share especially after I saw the one star review posted by Robert B. a few months ago. I believe I may have inadvertently caused their issue. My wife had inquired online through a booking company and I was able to reach owner directly to book. He mentioned that someone just asked for same dates through 3rd party and I let him know that was the same party but I was handling it now. Apparently there was a completely different party trying to also book at same time. Honest mistake. The owner mentioned it to me during this and i saw the negative review pop up a couple days later. Rest assured the owner is honest and a pleasure to deal with! Just look at every single other review ever posted!

The Villa and staff are absolutely incredible. We were there with a large group of friends for my wife and I to renew our vows/10yr anniversary. Hugo, Diego and Benny made the stay unforgettable. We went to Villa Buena Vida to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday with 9 other couples. We had heard rave reviews, but this world-class property far exceeded our expectations. First, the location can not be beat. Pedregal is the place to be. And Villa Buena Vida is only one of a handful of properties that are ocean front. The views are nothing short of breath taking. And the house was designed to take full advantage! The property is built into the top of a cliff with 4 floors of rooms with huge balconies and sweeping ocean views (not to mention tons of loungers, couches, fire pits, etc). The rooms are all large and well decorated. But the best part is the staff. Hugo is the concierge who meets your every desire. Diego is the bartender/waiter who's life mission appears to be smiling and making sure your cup is never empty. Benny is a world class chef who prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner (the surf and turf was my favorite). Personally I think the cleaning staff are ninjas who somehow clean up the last nights' activities before your first cup of coffee. I rarely write reviews, but I have to for this vacation. We had 3 families (15 people) renting this beautiful house in a great location. Everyone had their own space and the views were just gorgeous. Imagine watching whales while your are having your morning coffee or your afternoon drink. The staff made the experience that much more enjoyable. We had Benny making food (and we had some food allergies which was a challenge), Hugo coordinating rides, activities, and food shopping, and Diego making our drinks throughout the day and evening and attending to all our needs. We stayed over New Years and had a beautiful outside dinner with an authentic Mexican meal cooked by Benny. We saw fireworks over the beach and had a great house party.
