Pedregal Suites — Hotel in Pedregal

SCAM. You may not actually receive a place to stay after booking. Read on for further detail.

Upon arrival, the property was locked, and nobody was present to let us in. We called a phone number taped to the door and were told that the hotel was closed at that time, but we would not be charged since we hadn't checked in. We explained that we had already paid in full when we booked and would need a refund. The call was ended. We went to another hotel for the night. Since the booking was for 2 nights, we returned the following morning, hoping to check-in for the 2nd night of our stay. Once again, the door was locked and nobody was around. We called the same phone number again and were told this time that we would be refunded automatically within a few days. We were never reimbursed. After returning home from our trip, I reached out to Expedia (through which we had booked) detailing the situation. They replied saying that they had contacted the property manager but had not received approval to issue a reimbursement. I followed up a 2nd time with Expedia reiterating our experience and explaining why we believed the booking to be fraudulent. Booked a last second room with Pedregal Suites and turned out really well.

Very well located and is only 3minutes walk away from the Marina. Lots of food options available. Overall in a safe neighborhood of Pedregal.

The rooms are normal sized. We stayed on the first floor and it wasn’t too loud. Despite being near the pool. Very simple room- has everything you need and can request for more towels. They provide a detailed explanation on how to use the TV and even provide an adapter if you want to steam your laptop on the TV. The only con I could think of would be the shower temperatures as it was inconsistent- sometimes the water turned cold and sometimes hot. But overall considering the price, I’m very satisfied with the room

The service is what stood out the most. Both the hotel managers are phenomenal. He answered every questioned we had and helped us out with local transportation to Cabo San Jose, Todos Santos, and the airport. Very accommodating as well with the late check out/early check in. As well as gave us good recommendations to food nearby. Took the time to explain the shared kitchen despite the hotel manager eating his lunch. They all went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. This was the best part...

I arrived late due to the flight delayed but was glad to see someone still present. They greet me with a warm welcome but the room was very basic. They mentioned that they were low in staff not sure was that the reason that the room was not too well equipped. I was on the top floor so my room had some shower issues with the hot water. There were also lack of soap or shampoo, which I luckily brought some myself. The TV also did not work so my only entertainment in the room was the free wifi, which was not a total deal breaker. The plus definitely was the location, it was easy to find food around and all walking distances to the marina. The air conditioning worked also the fan. When I mentioned to the front desk they were kind and willing to exchange another room for the remainder of my stay which I did not end up taking because I only had one more night. I would go back to stay there if they addressed those minor issues if I return to Cabo...
