BACAB — Hotel in Quintana Roo

Bacab is truly a special place in Tulum. From the moment you arrive, the architecture welcomes you with a unique warmth—the colors, the shapes, the harmony of the space… everything is thoughtfully designed to make you feel good. It's a place that not only looks beautiful but also radiates a genuinely cozy energy.

Bacab also has a clear focus on art and community. The events they host—always well-organized—are designed to foster real connections, whether through artistic expression or wellness activities, many of which are led by top-level instructors. One of my personal favorites is the outdoor movie nights held in the main garden—watching great films under the stars adds something truly magical to the experience. And you can feel it: every event is a success and feels authentic.

Another highlight is the team. Everyone who works here is kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. They make you feel right at home and are always on hand to help with anything you need.

And I can’t leave out Mera, the café-restaurant located in the same building. It has an amazing vibe—the service is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food… outstanding. Every dish is well thought out, made with quality ingredients and delicious combinations. Personally, I’m a big fan of the pear carpaccio, the mortadella panini, and of course the coffee, which they serve in various methods and always perfectly prepared.

Another big plus is Bacab’s location. It’s set in a lively area just steps away from a main avenue full of restaurants, bars, and nightlife spots—everything you need for an evening out is within walking distance. And the beach is also relatively close; you can get there easily and enjoy the best of both worlds: the buzz of town and the calm of the sea.

All in all, Bacab is the kind of place where everything flows—space, people, food, events… a place that makes you feel comfortable, inspired,...

It is hard to convey in words just how fantastic this place is! Just off the main road in Tulum, you find paradise. At Bacab, you get all the benefits of a hotel and then some. The rooms have kitchens, allowing for the benefits of a condo but with the customer service and pampering of a hotel.

The hotel has different room styles. I stayed in a Zac unit, and loved the layout. It was spacious and had a beautiful balcony. The art is very unique, and I loved all the plants inside and outside the hotel. Really honoured the jungle experience. The rooftop pool is gorgeous, with lots of comfortable seating, and great views of Tulum. They even have a stargazing deck!

This hotel offers many events, and they added so much to the experience. I especially enjoyed the outdoor movie night and the fitness (wellness) classes.

Each room has its own WIFI, with a very good Internet connection. There is also Internet in the common areas, so if you need strong Internet service, you will get it at this hotel. Bacab is so well located. Very close to the main road in Tulum, there are so many restaurants, stores, etc, just a close walk away.

The hotel is small enough to feel cozy and comfortable. Also, VERY clean. I was impressed by the little added touches, such as toiletries from local artisans. There is also a restaurant below the hotel which was also very convenient.
