I recently had the opportunity to stay at Riad Dar Zambra in Chefchaouene, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The riad offered a unique charm that added to the allure of this picturesque city.
The rooms at Riad Dar Zambra were decent. While they may not have been exceptional in terms of luxury or extravagance, they provided a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The authentic Moroccan decor added a touch of authenticity to the overall ambiance. I found the rooms to be clean and adequately equipped, ensuring a satisfactory stay.
The hospitality at Riad Dar Zambra was commendable. The staff exhibited a high level of professionalism, and their attentiveness contributed to a seamless experience. I would like to extend a special thank you to Rida, whose ultimate help and assistance were invaluable during my stay. Whether it was providing local recommendations or promptly addressing any concerns, Rida's dedication to ensuring guest satisfaction was evident.
The riad's location in Chefchaouene was convenient for exploring the city's vibrant streets and attractions. However, one thing to note is that the riad is situated on a hill, requiring guests to climb several stair steps to reach it. While this may be challenging for individuals with mobility issues or those carrying heavy luggage, it is important to mention that the quality of the experience itself was not compromised by this inconvenience.
Despite the stair steps, Riad Dar Zambra provided a peaceful and relaxing environment away from the bustling streets of Chefchaouene. The riad's terrace offered breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding mountains, providing a serene setting to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the Blue Pearl.
In conclusion, my stay at Riad Dar Zambra was enjoyable. While the rooms were not extraordinary, they were comfortable and clean. The staff, particularly Rida, offered exceptional assistance and contributed to a positive experience. It is worth noting that reaching the riad requires climbing several stair steps, which may be challenging for some guests. However, this did not detract from the overall quality of my stay. I would recommend Riad Dar Zambra to those seeking a pleasant and authentic experience in...
Read moreThe place is pretty and has a good view from the terrace where they have their cafe. The owner was quite helpful with luggage especially even when we took a wrong route ( instead of a 16 steps route with took a longer route which had easily 100 steps up and down due to a message up by the driver who dropped us).
Three of us shared a room and hot water for shower was a bit difficult. We could not give more than 10min gap between two ppl and the water was taking more time to heat up after the first one.
Five of us were here for one night and we also had lunch at their cafe. The food was quite good and the terrace has a very nice view of the mountain and city. We tried freshly squeezed orange juice which was very refreshing. Cheese briouats was decent (I have had better ones in Marrakech). Chickpea salad was good, avocado toast was good with a bit of additional salt and pepper. Harira soup was good, Moroccan salad was good too. Had a decent amount of vegetarian options. They accepted card at the restaurant as payment had to be done separately for the cafe.
The owner also helped us in arranging taxi for Casablanca for three of us and taxi to station for two of us. As three of us had to leave early, they also provided packed breakfast based on request ( apple, banana,...
Read moreWe went there with the three of us in 2 rooms. The rooms are all rather dark and small, though this normal in a Medina. The indicated parking lot was not to find, so we parked elsewhere. Resulting in a porters fee of at least € 5 for a local porter. We arrived in teh hotel and did check in. The staff was very stiff and rigid. Wee went out that night and were constantly hassled by boy trying to sell something. The street is very dirty with animal dropping and is smelling bad too. The following morning we went up for breakfast. A breakfast was served though no eggs were available as these were too expensive. We wanted to change to booking though again the staff was stiff and rigid, eventually this was not possible. The balcony can be seen in teh picture and cannot be called a balcony, it is more some sort of fire escape. The Medina is very commercial, touristic, smelly and dirty. All in all not...
