Pros and Cons of Our Stay at This Riad

Pros:

The Riad itself is stunning, with a beautifully decorated interior that captures a traditional Moroccan vibe. Every corner of the space feels thoughtfully designed with tastefully chosen art and cultural elements.

The atmosphere is authentic and visually impressive, making it a lovely place to dine or relax in the communal areas.

The staff were lovely and professional, providing friendly service throughout our stay.

Cons:

The room, though visually appealing, did not meet expectations in terms of comfort, especially considering the price.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, which is a major letdown when you're looking for a good night’s sleep.

The bathroom was also disappointing, with a showerhead that sprayed water in every direction but the one needed, making showering an unpleasant experience.

We loved this place.

They made it possible for us to check in early as we came with a bus to Chefchaouen. That was so nice, it is also possible to leave your luggage if you want to roam a bit while they prepare the room.

The room was amazing and we had a beautiful view over the village. Everything was nice and clean and we had a great time. The breakfast is wonderful.

The terrace is stunning. We agree that the chairs are a bit uncomfortable and it would be nice if they created some more spaces with shadow but otherwise no complaints, we spent the entire afternoon just sitting there.

We loved the food and the drinks and the service (they run up and down those stairs constantly to serve you ❤️). We came earlier back to the riad just so we could sit on the terrace and enjoy the view and everything.

You cannot pay by card so make sure to have cash on you. ATM's are not far, on the place of the Kasbah.

Cependant, nous sommes profondément contrariés par un incident récent impliquant un membre de l’équipe de la réception. Ce n’est pas tant le refus du petit-déjeuner qui nous a choqués, mais la manière dont cela a été fait : un geste empreint de mépris, un ton inapproprié et un comportement qui manquait totalement de professionnalisme. Prétexter, de manière rigide et infondée, que le service se termine à 11 heures, alors que nous sommes des habitués et connaissons bien les pratiques de l’établissement, témoigne d’un manque flagrant de tact et de respect.

Ce n’est pas une simple question de service, mais un problème de considération. La façon dont nous avons été traités était grotesque et indigne d’un lieu qui, par ailleurs, brille par la qualité de son personnel et son atmosphère. Cette attitude contraste fortement avec ce à quoi nous sommes habitués et vient ternir l’image de l’établissement.

Nous venons régulièrement, accompagnés d’artistes et d’amis, et avons toujours fait la promotion du Riad auprès de personnalités du monde artistique, notamment grâce à notre admiration pour Pedro, dont le sens artistique et le raffinement sont indiscutables. Pourtant, cet incident, bien que ponctuel, nous a profondément indignés et a laissé un goût amer.

Nous espérons sincèrement que ce comportement isolé sera rapidement corrigé.
