We were served with the room on the top floor which is almost 40 steps up and extremely hot. Receptionist literally warned us that because weather is too hot that she herself couldn't sleep at night. So, we couldn't sleep at all for the first night even though air cons turned on for the whole day. Next morning receptionist arranged another room with 2 air cons but same floor still too hot to sleep. We stayed in another riad in Marrakech but the experience was amazing - its Riad Amor's problem, not for riads in general.

We told the receptionist that we have booked a tour to Chefchaouen and coming back after mid-night. She said no problem and just ring the bell. Eventually we keep knocking the door at 12:30 for an hour even the neighbor next door came out to help. Later we called our driver guide, he then connected with his own boss and the riad owner. After around an hour the chef came out half nakedly opened the door for us and said it's not his responsibility, all other hotel servers left.

Overall, it's a riad in the end of an alley, just next to the home of locals. Its not a 4 stars, not 3, its just a quite beautiful house but not a home... like a hostel. I prefer NOT to stay there even if the very bad incident...

The most expensive but worst dinner in Morocco. We didn’t sleep here but we celebrated new year’s eve at riad amor with a special dinner party. The shows of the artists were fine but the dinner (that costed 700dh/70€) was very bad. The ‘foie gras’ was a tasteless paté, the chicken and lamb were very blend, no flavour, the wine was too cold and the dessert was a single slice of cake while there were different kinds of pastries and tarts with Moroccan tea on the menu. We were asked if we wanted a glass of champagne right before midnight, which seemed to be not included with the dinner: 15€ per glass, 10 after some negotiations. The midnight moment was ruined because the hostess stopped the musicians right before and everyone stopped dancing. Ofcourse we didn’t expect everything to be perfect; our pickup was half an hour late and the waiter didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine for instance, but that’s ok, no problem. But the rest of the dinner was so bad that we felt quite squeaked. Don’t go here for dinner especially not on NYE. Might be a good riad to spent the...

If you gonna visit FEZ you must stay in this riad. The house is amazing, you have like a open air area to rest/take breakfast near to amazing swimpool that you can use always, the bedrooms are very comfortable with a tradicional arabic design that make a unique experience. Further that the riad have a rooftop with amazing view to medina. The best was the all Staff, always available to help with what you need. You can talk with riad to ask for like a Taxi to pick you in airport with a very good price, and its the best way to reach the Riad. The breakfast as also very good with traditional food of morrocos. As far the location it is also perfect! You will stay in the surrounds of the medina so you won't get lost and have easily access to taxis and other parts of the city. Near you have also an ATM machine as well good restaurants where...

Not trustable riad at all! I had 3-day reservation confirmed and paid. When I arrived, they told me the first night was cancelled, but they would give me another hotel at the same level for free and the next 2 days I had a confirmed reservation. By the morning, they wrote in the next day, they were overbooked for the next two days and they charged me 80 euros for the first night in a hotel that was not at all the same level with my reservation. Instead of solving the problem, all the time the staff were trying to say it was our fault when they know they sold the same room many times. If you don’t want to get stressed, go to another place. It doesn’t mind you have paid and confirmed your reservation with Booking, Agoda, etc, as it was my case, they have already sold your room to 2 or 3 other people. Terrible staff.

I really like the riad and all the staff. If you intend to stay inside the medina this is a very good choice. It's beautiful and the rooms are spacious. In the patio there's a pool which you can use for a dip cool down and there's a big terrace on the top floor where you can just relax, catch some sun or appreciate the amazing view over the medina. All the staff was very friendly and available to help out on any needs. Whenever we came to the patio to just sit and relax or go for a swim they would always fetch us treat like grapes, melon, cashews, olives, etc. The cleaning lady did an amazing job keeping everything in order all by herself. They have a set menu available for dinner with moroccan dishes if you appreciate their food. Breakfast had a lot of variety but I did miss my european bread (sorry).

*AVOID BOOKING A TOUR GUIDE VIA THE HOTEL* The hotel is generally quite good and has lots of signs to guide you from the nearest car park. Despite the fact that the tour guide brought us to a lot of shopping points( which the HOTEL STAFF( NORDINE) promised he won’t bring us to any shopping point), he lied to us and other passengers and said the Chouara Tannery was closed on that day (It might be the fact that he could not get any commission from any leather factories there). At last, we claimed that our friend went there yesterday and he said “really?” and acted like he’s surprise. After having an angry conversation on phone and stoping introducing anything to us, he said “oh you’re lucky and it’s opened today. B Please, stop lying and be more professional.
