We loved our stay here. Will definitely be back to stay again. The riad is located in a fantastic part of the Medina, just slightly outside of the winding streets and alleyways so fairly easy to find your way back to. We were welcomed with mint tea and biscuits, given a tour and left to chill by the pool. Our room was beautiful, very traditional Moroccan and beautiful lanterns and rose petals on the bed. Clean, quiet and cool. We looked down onto the pool area and it was a beautiful experience to retreat to the room to get ready as the light faded. The bathroom was fantastic, very big, gorgeous almond shower gels and hand washes and a candle lit when we first arrived with the most lovely scent. ||||Staff were very helpful and friendly. At no point did we feel uneasy in or around the riad. They helped with our luggage and even helped to print a boarding pass for us, gave directions and were very friendly. We had breakfast one morning which was a nice experience on the rooftop with breads, cake, fruit and tea. ||||Our room had a wonderful terrace and overall the riad was most spacious. The pool area was amazing, very chic and we loved the music too. Rooftop catches the sun until late and plenty of places to sit in the shade or heat. ||||Overall we felt we'd booked the best place around, amazing price and very friendly experience. Would recommend entirely and can't wait to visit again. ||||Clare...
Read moreIf it was possible to give 100 stars, I would!! Our stay in Riad Dar El Aila was beyond expectations. The riad is unbelievably beautiful and gave my family and I a feel of the old Morocco. You walk through tiny alleyways (too small for cars) and enter through a little wooden door, which once inside, opens up to paradise. There are two gorgeous courtyards, winding staircases, multiple rooftops of varying levels, unique rooms of all shapes and sizes, plus a dining area large enough to accommodate all guests.
My family and I (26 total) were in Marrakech for my wedding and found Cedric's place to be the perfect accommodations. Not only did we have a beautiful place to stay for the week, but they also organized travel (for all my wedding guests, not only the ones at the riad), helped book excursions, and personally walked our guests to and from restaurants and attractions to ensure their safety. They made food runs, served atay (Moroccan Tea) upon request, made beer and wine runs, and cooked perfect meals when we didn't want to venture out.
Cedric and his team were professional, responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond for any special requests we made. I can't thank them enough for sharing their beautiful riad an making our stay better than we ever could have imagined. Trust me - if you're looking for an authentic Moroccan experience with the best hosts possible,...
Read moreNow this Riad deserves 5 stars and let me show and tell you why. First, the staff, it's amazing, for example 3 of our hosts, Soufiane, Hussein, Michelle were extraordinary hosts, the will stay at your disposal with everything, they are nice and kind and very polite. Also the reason why I recommend this Riad is because it's very close by foot to all the center attractions, the market, the garden, the old/new town, all in 20-30 minutes walking distance. Now keep in mind this is a Riad not a luxury hotel, Riad means house not hotel, that is why it is done and decorated in the old stile which for us was an amazing experience, there is no TV but there is wifi, honestly the TV it's not worth to have in such a beautiful place, you are there to explore and relaxation not to watch TV. They also have a beautiful terrace with a spectacular view, for example we booked the table there for my wife's birthday the servings and food is very good. Do not worry when they take you to the Riad, you will think it's not safe because of the narrow streets and you would expect a big entrance, as I mentioned this is and old stile Riad, so it will be situated in the old district where you can truly experience Marrakesh 😊So 100%...
