Riad Dar Dounia — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome here. Ayoub sorted out a WhatsApp chat between us and the Riad, over a mint tea, telling us if ever we were out and either got lost or needed something to send him a message. He made reservations for us at a number of restaurants, which was very kind. Ayoub recommended the most interesting monuments. The breakfasts were perfect up on the roof terrace: tasty with a variety of foods, the coffee was excellent. Bottles of water were given whenever we needed it. The only reason I have not given the room a five is that it was a bit dark and we wanted to keep the curtain shut for some privacy. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The towels and bedlinen were perfectly white. We really appreciated being met at the airport by a driver organised by the Dar Dounia and they arranged for a driver to take us up to Imlil at the end of our stay in Marrakesh. A wonderful experience for our first time in Morocco. We were glad to stay in Riad Dar Dounia. Comfortable room, a beautiful and quiet setting, and the best dinner we had in the city. We recommend having at least one dinner in the riad and enjoying some relaxing time on the roof terrace. Some construction in the area at the time of our visit stopped us from arriving directly from the parking area (what would have been a 2 minute walk became 10), but we were guided by the wonderful staff to make sure we arrived safely when the taxi dropped us off and also when we were leaving. There is also a guest room on the ground floor for those not able to climb narrow stairs. 10/10...

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo Riad per 6 notti,e ci siamo trovati benissimo.Passi dal caos e dai rumori del mercato ad una atmosfera magica.appena chiudi la porta scura sembra di stare in un altra realta’,la struttura e’ stata ristrutturata da poco,con arredi antichi di ottimo gusto che bene si adattano alla realta’ marocchina,una bellissima vasca al centro e le camere che affacciano sul chiostro con vegetazione ed uccellini che ti accolgono al mattino durante la colazione.Abbiamo anche cenato nel Riad e devo dire che abbiamo mangiato meglio qui che in altri ristoranti rinomati del centro.Anche l’apparecchiatura della tavola elegante e di gusto con porcellane inglesi d’epoca e tovaglioli in tessuto,il camino acceso ed una atmosfera davvero invitante.La camera grande,elegante,bene arredata con un letto comodissimo ed un bagno con doccia molto grande.Colazione servita in terrazza ottima ed abbondante.Tutto perfetto come a casa meglio che a casa.Ma la cosa che davvero mi ha stupito e’ l’accoglienza ricevuta.I ragazzi del Riad sono di una gentilezza,cordialita’,disponibilita’ rare a questo mondo.Ti accolgono ti coccolano e cercano di trovare una soluzione a tutte le tue richieste.Io viaggio spesso ma difficilmente ho incontrato persone così gentili ed ospitali in vita mia.Mi sono rimasti nel cuore.Per questo ed altri motivi mi sento di consigliare vivamente questo Riad.Se dovessi tornare a Marrakesh di sicuro tornero’ qui...
