Avataar Kathmandu Hotel - Thamel — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

A big “NO” for it. Please read it detail, otherwise you will regret. It is sheer a non sense & worst hotel & management too. Refused check in last minute by saying that we have overbooked the hotel. I already paid them full amount before a week through Goibibo and booked 6 rooms for 2 nights, but then also they didn’t provided even a single room. Instead they offered us cheap rooms in his friend’s hotel at Hotel Encounter, which we denied as that is also not a good hotel. (Manager’s name at Encounter: Mukunda Pokharel), such a disgusting guys they were. Mukund & manager of Avataar hotel combinely plays the role for cheating tourists. The day before we arrived, they also cheated one another person in the same way. So, these are their everyday tactics. I had to call the Police, then & then they offered us convenient rooms in another hotel. He offered us complementary dinner in that in front of Police, but later he didn’t paid for that too. Infact we had to pay for that at checkout in another hotel they provided. Never go to this hotel. Even the hotel infrastructure is also too old & damaged and is not as per the pics provided on internet. I had visited this Hotel couple of days back with my family members including senior citizens from Mumbai. I have selected this property by keeping mind with its reviews, photos which are available in gust review section. It was very great experience here, all the staff members were very polite and helpful. We have requested for vegitarian breakfast which was complimentary & it was nice... rooms and rest amenities was great. Toilets were very clean. Lifts was there so it made easy for my Grandparents. Overall experience was wonderful & I would highly recommend this place.
