THE PERFECT STAY! ✨ I had already visited Amsterdam a few times, and the Rosalia Inn was by far the best accommodation experience I had! Starting with the location, which is fantastic, and was super convenient for me to easily access the airport and the tours I had booked. In terms of night views, the area is fantastic too, with a lot of entertainment behind the hotel, which provides a very calm and peaceful environment in the rooms, but with lots of fun around the corner! The rooms are spacious, bright, comfortable, and the rituals products available are the perfect complement! Breakfast, freshly prepared every morning, is a delicious extra! From yogurt with fruit and granola, to fresh bread or croissants, there were also egg options and freshly squeezed orange juice! Everything was delicious, the entire staff was super sweet and affectionate, always in a good mood and excited! I totally recommend it, it has become my favorite accommodation and my recommendation in Amsterdam!

When on a Business trip to Amsterdam I stayed just one night at Rosalia's Menagerie Inn Upstairs and I loved it... It has just 6 individually styled boutique rooms and mine (a King bed double) was comfortable and provided everything I needed for my stay. The owner Rachel Bonnewell was lovely and treated me with warmth and kindness from check in to check out, she was a perfect host. I loved the quirky decor and the personally prepared breakfast was delicious and a great start to my day walking Amsterdam. The hotel location was perfect also in Central Amsterdam, I literally walked everywhere during my 2 days in the City. My room was €150 per night with breakfast. The Inn is 'upstairs' and the stairs are typical of old Dutch houses in as much as climbing them is not for anyone who has ill health or mobility issues... Note there is no lift and the stairs are narrow, steep and twisty. I will certainly stay again and hope to do so in the Summer of 2024.

Fantastic location! Amazing service at the facility, both lodging and restaurant/bar; "everyone" is simply exceptional. They set a really high bar when it comes to customer service. The rooms are cozy, clean and very comfortable. Well insulated from any external noise. Train and Metro stations are less than 10 minute walks. Continental breakfast served with custom egg preparations like Omelettes. The bar serves probably one of the finest drinks and cocktails you will find anywhere. The ambiance is unique and very cool. Know that it's not a restaurant to dine though. The owners and staff are simply the best at ensuring their customers are well taken care of. Will definitely stay here. Every. Visit.

Disclaimer: I can only share the experience I have made. It agrees with the negative feedback that has been shared on booking websites, however there has also been positive feedback about this location.

I have stayed in this “hotel” for three nights and can definitely not recommend it. Even before we arrived, it did not make a good impression. When I called them to ask a question, I got the response “I guess you have to trust my word” and the person hung up. When I booked, I put my credit card details into their system. Two days before I arrived, I received an invoice asking to pay the amount - four and a half months after I have booked. When I called the next day, they told me we could go over it when I arrived. One day before my arrival, I received another invoice which was 40€ higher that what I have booked for because the hotel miscalculated the city tax. Again, this was four and a half months after I have booked and only the day before I arrived. That way I was not given the opportunity to cancel or to find another accommodation.

When you get into the hotel, you enter a cocktail bar. The bar is quite busy at nights, so it feels weird to pass by the visitors and go through a back door to get to you room. Our room had some trash on the floor, the shower was calcified and it felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel. When I pointed that out to the owners, I was told that it will be taken care of - well, nothing happened… The bathrooms were really not what you would expect - this is probably also why they do not have pictures of them online. Given the price we had to pay, it was audacious with everything going on.

In correspondence with the hotel owners, I said that it cannot be the case that one day they ask me to pay more than I have booked for because they made a mistake and did not find it until one day before arrival. They were not forthcoming at all, did not apologise for the inconvenience (which is honestly a must in the hospitality industry) and did not even think about making up for the mistake. I ended up paying for the mistake the hotel did so our stay would not be ruined and I did not even receive a “thank you”…

To say something positive as well: The location is very central, the bed is comfortable and the two people taking care of the breakfast were very kind.

However, given the experience I have made, I can not recommend you to stay at this location when you visit Amsterdam. It is way too expensive for...

As someone else mentioned, this hotel is not awful, but I will never stay here again. They have a good idea with the bed and breakfast thing. The execution needs to be better. The breakfast is great. Really friendly and warm kitchen staff. Check in is clunky. The person at the bar seemed surprised to see me. The room I stayed in was old, but not in the charming way it was intended. Just kind of creepy and weird. Again, they TRY by putting in a coffee machine, having free snacks and robes. All great, but the bed was absolutely awful. It was the weird single beds that they just push together. Which I get is fairly normal in Europe. The mattress was SO hard, I could have slept on the floor and felt no difference. It just feels like it’s trying to be a boutique hotel. The downstairs is obviously much newer than the rooms. If the two matched it would be great. Stairs are vertical. Might as well just use a ladder. The staff is very helpful with bags, but I can’t imagine if someone is even a little drunk. room will be VERY loud all night if you are canal facing. They put a sound machine, but I used ear plugs walking through the bar seems fun, but it’s not. It’s a popular cute bar, but I missed traditional hotel lobbies. I interacted with the female owner once, she was very nice. I hope she gets this place up to its full potential by...

We have just spent a long weekend at Rosalia’s. This is a lovely, quirky B&B. We were greeted warmly and our luggage was carried up to our room. We were given a quick tour of our room and instructions for A/C and WiFi etc. We stayed on the top floor, courtyard side. Yes, the stairs are incredibly steep! Our room was kitted out with reused/upcycled furniture. The bed was very comfy, bathroom was clean and shower was good. The fridge was stocked daily with soft drinks and snacks and there was a kettle and coffee machine. I was a little concerned about noise as the area is bustling and vibrant. I needn’t have worried as it was peaceful being at the top and back of the building. It was a very warm weekend and the A/C was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt to start. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Eggs and bacon then croissant with jam, butter and chocolate spread. Certainly kept us going for a day of sightseeing.|We stayed for cocktails a couple of times and they were lovely - very boozy. |Rosalia’s was a perfect base and very central for all our sightseeing. 10-15 to the station and within comfortable walking distances of the museums and shops. There are cafes and restaurants everywhere so no shortage of...
