With many flight delays, we (my sisters and I) arrived BWC Hotel a little after midnight. Thankfully, checking in was super fast and within 10minutes of arrival, we were standing in our room.

My first impression of the hotel room was that it was really spacious, cosy and clean. The bathroom had the necessary supplies—lotion, bath gel, shampoo, a towel, hairdryer, etc. The wardrobe has different compartments for luggage and clothes, as well as hangers. Every corner of the room had mirrors and this contributed to the aesthetic value of the room. 😍

Breakfast the following morning was delicious! The chef was present at the buffet, personally recommending certain meals to us. Oh, how right she was! I loved everything. 💯

Housekeeping did a fine job fixing the room up when I was out during the day! The towel was changed and more supplies brought in. 🙂 Dinner was delicious, as well. In fact, on one of the days, I had the BEST jollof rice ever! 🌟

The hotel has a Spa, gym, tennis court, a pool and some other essentials. However, every good thing has its flaws. The first problem I encountered was the location of the pool. From 10 steps away from my room, on the 2nd floor, you can see the pool. I could hear noises from excited children. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Also, meals didn't start exactly at the stipulated time. That wasn't very pleasant. Imagine pausing my tour of the city to quickly eat lunch, only to be told I have to wait more than an hour after the said lunch time. 😕

Checking out was extremely frustrating. The hotel hadn't confirmed our payment days after it was done. Such an oversight shouldn't be heard of in a hotel that classy.

The hotel can improve on the fruit options (There's more to life than pineapples and watermelons). Better communication between different sections would help put an end to payment confirmation problems.

In all, my stay was mostly pleasant. Totally...

This hotel is located along Ahmadu Bello way Victoria Island. It's along the road and easy to locate. It's beautiful up from the road to the reception of the hotel. But as soon as you climb the lift to the rooms, the beautiful fades away. It's an old hotel that needs a complete make over of the inside corridors to the rooms. Some rooms are very big like a suite style like my room while others are small. My room had two giant AC's inside that were functioning well. Some other rooms are small. My door key card was not working. I eventually had to learn how to open with the manual keys that I struggled with. The staff however are courteous. They offer complimentary breakfast services. But the refill time for finished meals during dinning either breakfast or lunch is too long. You will end up making do with whatever leftovers if you have an appointment to catch, because it would take forever for meals to be refilled if you don't come in time for breakfast or during your meeting lunch. The variety of food to choose from is not much, still refilling is a very big problem. The water in the bathroom is hard water, so it's important to keep an extra bottle of water to brush daily. They offer complimentary tea and toiletries in the rooms. Though it's one of the affordable hotels within the Victoria Island vicinity from my little research. I feel the hotel can do more to renovate the surroundings and add more life and colours to the rooms to remove that ancient look it currently has. When my door initially refused to open with the key card I was taken to two other rooms but I didn't like them, so I had to go back to the original room using the manual key which felt better in...
