Arcopata Guest House — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

Initially it didn't look so bad at check-in and the host was friendly and nice (cute small dog present as well) but then I found my room was dirty, white chalk or something everywhere and I had to go ask for a towel, toilet paper and soap. Later I found there was no ventilation at all in the shower and after I showered the entire bathroom was extremely humid and I decided to let the bathroom door open which presented me with a foul smell throughout the bedroom and or didn't really pass. I slept bad and found yet more chalk or plaster in my (uncomfortable) bed. In the morning I could not find anyone to mention my complaints to, could not have my breakfast which was supposed to be included, although I was late for that I have to admit, but still and I wanted to check out but could still not find anyone to help me, reception was not manned. Later in the day I came back to try again to check out and finally when someone appeared she didn't take my complaint seriously at all and just stared at me?! My worst experience so far unfortunately and I don't understand how this place got a 7.9 score on...

Excellent hopitality. Very clean. Exceptionally friendly staff. Absolute value for the Dollar. It is like staying with family. The location is great. The whole conception and application is geared toward's the guests comfort and satisfaction. The people here are extremely helpful and patient. Free advice is abundant. They offer extra services if requested to the best of their ability. Acropata is a rare and hidden gem of Peru, and Cusco. Located within easy walking distance to the most popular sites of the city at 3,400 meters. Great food is here with prior arrangements, on holidays and spontaneously. Just around the corner in both directions begins an incredible choice of dining establishments. This is a very secure location. The entire area is very safe. People are exceptionally curious. If you want to be in a special place I highly recommend trying for yourself. They have excellent facilities. Complementary continental breakfast, coffee and tea. Hot showers are shared and spotless. There is nothing I would change. Definitely worthy of my 5...
