I really learned to love this hostel and the people around during my stay helped to get the best from this hostel! It's lovely, the rooms are quiet big and really simple, the dorms have single beds with a lot of blankets! There are some closet and plugs but not table lamp and it wasn't an issue. The hostel is quiet clean, there are few toilets outside the rooms, toilet paper and showers. You need your own shampoo and shower gel, they also rent towels if you need. Showers are warm but not if more than one person is using it! Always check if there is running water before to get into the shower, if not, just inform the staff! Gina, Daniel and Sergio are super nice people, nice to talk with! The patio is a great place to meet other travellers and I really made friends here. My short stay became of 2 weeks! It is super hot in the morning but there is also a common area always fresh with a tv, playstation, books, blankets and couches. Here you can also find lockers for your small documents and you need your own lock. Felt really safe
Price is super great and a simple breakfast is included, you make your 2 own eggs and then you have bread, jam etc.. They gave me the number of a guy that organize tours and I did with them the 7 lagoons tour and Palcoyo and they were really good. Prices are like in the city so it's up to you. I could store my luggages for free while i was gone for the Salkantay trek for almost a week. Today I am leaving but it's hard to say goodbye!
In Cusco could be a lot to do so take your time. The location of the hostel is perfect, 5 min down you are at the San Pedro Market where you can find full manu per 7 soles! So I didn't really used the kitchen to cook proper food but it is available, with fridges where to keep your food and drink cold! Less than 15 min you are in the main square, from the street behind the hostel, 2 min walk you can get normal busses to move around or reach the main inca sites...
Read moreI can't really imagine why the reviews of this hostel are so good. I had a different experience. When we checked in, we realized that our private room could not be locked at all. The door lock was broken. When I pointed this out to the owner, he simply said that I should look for another hostel. He had enough customers who didn't seem to care. In the end we were able to change rooms but others who didn't notice the problem still had to stay in this room. Additionally, the bedsheets are dirty and run down. The toilets were dirty and there was no toilet paper. The breakfast quite good though. You can serve yourself 2 eggs, bread, jam...
Read moreI stayed at this hostel with my friend for many many nights. We liked it a lot. It is 15 minutes from plaza de Armas and 5 minutes from Mercado. Neighborhood is safe and pretty, hostel inside tambien is pretty cool to hang out. Hostel has many bathrooms and hot water. We could leave our things for a few days while doing salkantay trek. Also stuff is nice and helpful, the owner spoke English which was useful, and he helped us a lot with buses and figure out transportation. The breakfast is self service and good. I would stayed there again and we can highly...
