Barrio Inka B & B — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

We spent two nights at the b&b. You get what you pay for. No frills, basic accommodation. Pros- quite area away from the city centre, not too far from the city centre and restaurants and markets, host (Sergio) is extremely nice, welcoming, accommodating and does everything to make your stay as comfortable as he can. Our room was cleaned and bed made during our stay between the two days, which was very nice. Breakfast is included- cereal, eggs, juice, bread, jam, butter and fruits - very nice and home prepared. Cons - it is a 20 min uphill walk from the city centre. We noticed the bedsheets and pillows had hair on it, we asked for them to be changed and the host did change them, but it was still not 100% clean. I am sure the host meant for it to be clean but it didn’t happen. The room heater did not work, when i asked the host yo help, he said it was new and he needed to figure out the issue. The place is next to a school so daytime can be noisy, but since it is residential area, nights are quite.

But value for money.

While this is not something the host can control, I think it is worth mentioning, the street the place is on and the surrounding streets have a ton of street dogs, who use the streets to carry out all their business, and the city cleaners do not pick up the waste left behind since it is more than 5 blocks from the historic centre. Be ready to dodge a lot of dog s**t when walking...

Wow, where to start it from, the place feels like home and after traveling for a while it was everything I needed.

The location is great, 10min from the city center, the place is super clean and neat, the rooms are big and the beds are very comfy, and the kitchen has enough to cook yourself a good meal, bathrooms are super clean and with an amazing hot water, and a very filling breakfast with eggs and fruits.

The highlight is Sergio the owner, what an amazing guy, he takes really good care of his guests, always there to make sure that everything is perfect for you and that you are having a great experience at his place, he really wants you to feel home.
