If you are just like me a single traveler, and you have your budget but still would like to have a private room with private bathroom, this hotel is good for you.||Bed is comfortable, very hot shower, free WiFi, close to plaza. I never had chance to try their breakfast so I couldn’t guarantee their breakfast is good, my activities in Cusco needed to get up and depart very early. The host of this hotel, his English is good and he is a dedicated man to the travelers, he helped me in many ways. The first day I arrived at Cusco, I forgot my luggage in Uber, he tried to help me tracing back my luggage! When the date I should depart for Salcantay Trekking but the travel guide didn’t show up to pick me up, I waited for 1 and a half hour in the very early morning, the travel agency ‘s office telephone didn’t work as well, I cried and worked him up to help me, he helped me to reach them and called a taxi for me to catch them up, helped me to communicate with them and the taxi driver in Spanish. I am really grateful!!!!||The disadvantage of the hotel is that it is located in a narrow street and full of local shop, in the daytime, there is a little bit crowded and music being played very loudly, but you won’t hear anything...
Read moreI’ve stayed two nights in the Kamila lodge and can highly recommend the place. The cozy is located in a backyard, hence the noise from the busy streets is reduced. The rooms are quite spacious and have quite a lot of shelf space, suitable for longer stays. The bath room was clean and functional, though some hangers would have helped. In the public space, there is a small yard and kitchenettes with tea and coffee accessible anytime to the guests.
What made my stay outstanding was the service and hospitality provided by Joswar and the staff. He was who woke up from my ringing at 6AM in the morning after my night bus arrival, and he even gave me a room at that early hour at no extra charge. After my rushed checkout for the Inca trail at 3AM, where I aligned with Joswar to leave my luggage in the room so they can store when they are awake. They even tidily store all other leftovers for me which I either forgot to pack (my IPad!!!) or even just a glass jar which I didn’t put in the trash bin. That was an outstanding experience to. Joswar and the staff were always super friendly and polite, gave you the feeling that he would go...
Read moreAlthough other reviewers mentioned that the shower temperature can be unpredictable I was up early at 5AM and had really nice water pressure and hot water. The room was rather large, bed was comfortable, and simple toiletries were provided with a large (and quite heavy) towel.||||If you arrive after hours it is best to let them know ahead of time as I had to wait for someone to hear me knocking all the way outside. Check-in was very easy, just paid the money quoted online, partly in dollars and the rest in soles, and was told I could just leave the key in the room upon leaving early in the morning.||||Free WiFi was accessible in the room.||||The lodge is located about a 5-10 minute walk from the main square, not bad of a location at all and very close to the collective bus stop on Pavitos (just a block away).||||Would definitely return to stay again if...
