The location, accommodation and staff of the Mirador were all very good. We enjoyed the breakfast and the view of Cusco from the breakfast room. The location was excellent as it is walking distance to Plaza des Armas and walking distance to many restaurants. A mini-market is located across the street as well. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable with very warm bedding for the cold nights.|Note that our safety deposit box was non-functional and the toilet leaked quite a bit causing quite a bit of water to pool on the bathroom floor. These issues were not rectified during our 4 night stay. We arranged and prepayed to have a taxi transfer back to the airport upon departure. On the day of departure the front desk staff was unaware of our arrangement and had to call a taxi. I also had to remind her that we had prepayed the transfer. On our arrival day we were informed of a few tours that the hotel could arrange for us. We ended up booking a tour. We were told that we would be given our tickets for the entrance to the archeological centres in the morning however the staff member did not show up and as a result we had no tickets. We had to have our tour guide deal with the issue on the tour. This caused us initial stress until rectified as we thought that we would have to pay again to enter the sites. It is a good thing that I had the front desk itemize what the tour included on my receipt as I had proof that...
Read moreThis is a very charming hotel, it is clean and the people are wonderful. The hotel is simple and not expensive. The location in the heart of Cuzco, made getting around on foot very easy. Just 2 blocks to central plaza. I asked the manger about the best way to see the area (wow) best decision of my life. First they recommended a tour that took us all around the area, and it was great. That was so good I asked again, her husband Arnaldo Alvarez is also a tour guide. I booked a private car tour of the Sacred Valley blew us away saw so many amazing places from salt mines to so many Inka sites just amazing. At night tired we slept warm and comfortable. After leaving for Machu Picchu for a few days we returned. Again great hospitality. Booked another tour to Puno and the floating islands of Lake Titticaca. Had one of the most amazing moments of my life at an Inka and Pre Inka burial site. When we left I felt sad to be leaving my new friends at the hotel, but so thankful fate...
Read moreEverything was just so so. We stayed here on two occasions for- and after the Inca trail. We were to tired to change hostels. Beds almost collapst (both times) the frequently gave 1 towel instead of two and if you asked another the didn't believe you. They didn't have change when we paid which was fine we came back anyway. But when it was time to even the score he didn't seem to have writen anything down and it really felt like he was trying to get the best deal for himself. He "forgot the amount". Well i didn't but we ended up getting less back.||It was very noisy, lots of screaming spanisch children who didn't learn boundries??||Wifi didn't work and showered were often cold. ||Breakfast was always the same: egg and strawberry jam. De girls who served the breakfast were amazing though!...
