Our group of two couples stayed here two nights. We staged our very long day trip to Machu Pichu from here. First off when we were dropped off by taxi from airport we were faced with several sets of fairly steep steps to get to small foot street to front door of property. That is not a big deal in and of itself but when you toss in altitude (yes, we were all affected by that) it was a bit daunting. Worth keeping in mind. Once we got to the front desk (you go down kind of a long hallway sort of place after ringing bell to get door unlocked) we got sorted out fairly quickly despite bit of a language issue (none of us speak very good Spanish and the front counter clerk had limited English). Our rooms were small but double beds were comfortable (quilts/comforters welcome because it did get chilly). It was nice sitting in central courtyard drinking cocoa tea (provided free in reception area) and watching humming birds. We only did breakfast one morning but we suspect it is similar offerings every day. Scrambled eggs, pastries, cereal, etc. Pretty good and certainly filling. We were able to send out for laundry service, very inexpensive, and it took just overnight to get small loads back. WIFI was okay (and free). All in all a decent stay but I would not recommend for people with mobility issues, those first sets of stairs could...

The location is great, the staff are friendly, and they stored our excess luggage free of charge when we went touring around the Sacred Valley, but we would not stay here again.

We booked an apartment for 3 nights in this hotel and despite the apartment being spacious and clean, we didn't get a good night's sleep.

We were given the ground floor apartment at the front of the building. The front gate slams shut all hours of the night as people come back to the hotel (there's no way to close the gate quietly) and some tours kicked off at 3am so it was hard to sleep. We could also hear the person on the floor above us walking around and moving furniture about/opening drawers at all hours of the night.

If you book an apartment here, make sure you don't get any ground floor apartments and definitely no apartments at the front of the building (unless you're a heavy sleeper or are comfortable sleeping with...

The staff was great. Rooms were clean. I had accidentally booked a room for 3 people while we were 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). The staff was able to move us to a different room with 4 bed for an additional fee which was much appreciated. The hotel is located in a place where it requires us to climb about 55 steps or take a different path walking uphill and not accessible by car. However, there was couple of very friendly boys who work at the hotel and they carry our luggage up the steps and deliver to our rooms.

Location - Although located within walking distance to the main plaza, the hotel itself is on a hill and requires about 55 steps and another 2 min walk to reach the main door. It is not accessible by car. This is something you need to be aware of if you are an older person. The city's altitude makes it harder to...

This hotel is in a great quiet location. The room was quite large and the bathroom was also quite large. The shower had great hot water. The bed and linens were comfy, and there was a great comfy warm duvet. The breakfast had lots of options, with fruit juices and fresh fruit fresh eggs cooked for you. The only reason why I can't give them a five star is because the heat is controlled. I found it quite cold in Cusco, and the heat was only turned on between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m., and then in the morning again for a few hours. When we got caught in some hail storms we came back to our room hoping to get warm and had to crawl under the covers. I would definitely recommend this place in the warmer months.

Really well mantained rooms and property in the old city of Cusco. Had a 2 nights stay in a room at the second floor. The room was very clean, spacious and looked very rustic and simple, but in a good way. I have appreciated the fact that they have cleaned our room after the first night. The breakfast was great. Various fruits and vegetables, pancakes, jams, natural juices, eggs etc. The communication was very easygoing and they also help us with taxi pickup and luggage deposit. Overall: it has exceeded our expectations! Thank you!

We had a perfect stay at the Hosteria de Anita. The room was a good size for a standard double room, staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh but simplistic. The location was amazing, very close to the historical centre but very quiet. Free WiFi everywhere and free coca tea in the lobby. They kept our luggage after checkout for no additional fee. No restaurant in the hotel itself but you're only a street away from many options.
