Eventos Hotel Museo Cusco — Hotel in Wanchaq

Unfortunately I had a really bad experience here and I would warn others about staying here. It is not safe in the slightest.

The reception is often empty and you are locked outside

The toilet in the room only flushes occasionally

The toilet and shower both leak onto bathroom floor

My room hadn’t been cleaned from the guest before, I could smell aftershave on the pillow and there was used soap in the dirty shower

We had no wifi or tv for 24 hours, yet the staff computer still worked

They don’t speak English which is unusual for a tourist destination

The noise is so bad, the staff play tv in reception very loudly at all hours which kept me awake. There are buzzers and bells being pressed all the time because people need a member of staff but nobody is around.

You can hear the person in the next room breathing

Got the honeymoon suite for the hot tub after long days of hiking. So much wrong with this place, we left pretty quickly.

Room has a window to the hallway with a thin curtain that you can still see through....as in you can see into the room.

The shower wall was frosted glass....the other side of the glass is the hallway!

Wall around the Jacuzzi was glass bricks. Which lets in light from the room next door.

Extremely loud. Doors buzzing, can hear every sound in the hallway and...

Pretty terrible honestly. The staff was super uncoordinated, didn't talk to each other and were generally unhelpful (they just kinda forgot our reservation, sometimes didn't open the door, didn't restock toilet paper, etc.). The breakfast was there, but barely and the rooms were small, crammy and walls and windows were paper thin so sleeping was pretty hard. The toilets, sinks and showers leaked, bathrooms weren't cleaned and it was overall sadly an uncomfortable and disappointing stay....
